Please... no!

Postby Workingman » 16 Mar 2018, 09:24

Posting this morning and I thought that that VV site had changed colours. Gone were the blue tints and in came grey. :o

I now find that this is the case with all other sites... it looks as though the laptop graphics card has had its day. More unnecessary expense.

I give up!

Oh that's a bugger Frank - are you able to repair it yourself or do you have to take it in somewhere?

Solved: Breathe easy. Kaz, it is a W10 update thing!!!

When I closed down yesterday the option was to 'updte and shut down' so that is what I did. I open up this morning to no colours - what the ****!

For some reason the update turned on colour filters, but I beat the barsteward - Ctrl+Win key+C allows them to change back. I swear that if I ever get close to one of Microsofts policy wonkls I am going to get my fingers round their neck and not let go.

Kaz, I worked in IT for years and that was said many times! I once got rung up by a user who was abusing the IT Dept to hell and back when his monitor wouldn't come on - it was turned off at the wall socket!

Kaz, it took you three hours and ten minutes to come up with your 'fix' for a two minute job, just like real IT people.

Irritating isn't it. Something in W10 has completely screwed my ATI suite and I had to re-install the graphics driver by hand. It was so bad it felt like the graphics card had gone but I knew it hadn't.

If course if you can't fix it the final resort could be a pair of tinted glasses.... Much cheaper than a graphics card..
