Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 07 Apr 2018, 05:40

Good morning.

All go here this morning!

Jacob's getting the train from Malaga centro and we're picking him up at 10am at Plaza Mayor and the 3 of us are going to mum & dad's. We're all then going to the Tudor Rose for a full English breakfast. :D :D

J will stay with his grandparents and Don & I are heading off to Nerja until Monday. A nice wee anniversary present to each other. (Although he bought me a pair of Converse too. )

Have a great weekend everyone. :D :D

Morning Ally, Saundra and everyone

Lots of rain during the night, now have sunshine and blue sky but it's going to rain all afternoon, apparently   But it's warm

Grumpy may be able to do more block work, I'll either watch the athletics or do some cleaning - or both.

Off to the bar for duck and rice tonight.

Enjoy your few days away All x

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning you three

Ally have fun and lovely for Jacob to be able to spend time with his grandparents.
Saundra, same here - dry for now but rain expected very shortly. No gardening to be done I suspect. Jan sounds like you're similar but at least you have some blue sky and warm :D Enjoy the duck and rice tonight - yum and say hi to everyone

I'm going to get myself ready and head to the shops in a bit; Karl is coming over for an early dinner (Nadine and kids are away visiting friends in Switzerland) and I need to get a few things in and then a quick hoover around the house. Also need to sort out two hutches and get the run set up - I'm collecting a hedgehog for release next Saturday; always an exciting time. Will take one next weekend and maybe a 2nd one in another two weeks - we'll see

Have a lovely day all, enjoy whatever it is you're up to x

Good morning all. That sounds a lovely family day Ally.

It looked set fair earlier but it has gone very dark out there now; it will be raining soon I think.

At the pub last night the guest beer was Cameron's Strongarm, from Hartlepool. My two friends are from Hartlepool and they got stuck in. So I have a bit of a thick head this morning and am not planning anything strenuous!

Have a good day all.

Morning :)
A nothingy sort of day so far, a sprinkle of rain, now dry but dull and breezy.

Have a lovely time in Nerja Ally :)
Bb is working, and will call in for shopping on the way home.
I had hoped I would be doing it today, but still feel as weak as a kitten...just have to be patient.

IPL starts later, so guaranteed tv for the next month or so :)
Hope you all enjoy the day

Morning all :)

Tapped out a long post, with individual replies, then lost it

Rain here, as per! There does seem to be a pattern of dry/sunny Thursdays and Fridays, followed by wet weekends here  :cute:  Currently sat inside Corretto's watching the umbrellas - such a shame, as it's all set up in the square outside with huge tents and deckchairs, for a childrens' book event :?

Love to all :) xxx

Afternoon all :D

Not as bright at yesterday, we had a bit of rain earlier. The sun's trying to come out so we'll see.........

Managed to help E a bit in the garden yesterday, nothing too strenuous, just a bit of dead heading really. It looks so much better, but I'm really suffering for it now so intend to take it very easy today.

Have a good day :D

Good afternoon all, it's raining.

I've been fighting incompetence all morning. Firstly I went down to Boots to pick up mine and Joe's repeat prescriptions. I requested them at the start of the week so they should've been ready to collect from Wednesday onwards. They couldn't find them and their computers were down so they couldn't check to see if they'd been sent through from the surgery. After another couple of checks my printed out prescription was found in a drawer they use to file them but it hadn't been made up, Joe's wasn't found. Apparently they should print them off as they come through online and they make them up ready for collection. Nothing could be done so I was told that they'd call me when the system was back up. They called mid morning and had found Joe's in the drawer so would deliver them, which they did a short time afterwards. It didn't look like their computers were working by then though as the labels are handwritten.

Then the post came, bringing Joe's next appointment letter. Now, you may remember that the consultant on Wednesday said that it was no problem for Joe to have his next appointment at Stafford rather than Stoke and she wrote it on the slip we handed in as we left and we mentioned it to the receptionist too.
The appointment is for Stoke at the end of June. Not to worry, there's a number to ring if you can't attend. 15 minutes of hanging on later I explained it all and was told that there was nothing that they could do, I would need to speak to the haematology secretary at Stafford. The person I spoke to wasn't sure if he or she worked part time, and gave me a list of extension numbers which I might find them on next week. She emphasised 'might'.
Regardless of where it is though, he couldn't attend anyway because it's at exactly the same time as his driving test!

Now I'm waiting for a call from Specsavers. We paid for his first 3 months of lenses at the start of Feb and was told that after that we'd pay monthly and they'd be posted out to us. We both assumed that it'd start after the three months we'd paid upfront for had passed. However, they started taking the direct debit in March and it's gone again this month but no lenses have been sent at all.
