Afternoon all! I couldn't post earlier, kept losing my connection :? Must have been something to do with our WiFi as I'm round D's now and it's fine! :cute:

D isn't here, she's gone to Weymouth to the in-law's for the weekend, Dan (our nephew) came to collect her as she doesn't like driving that far any more. We're here putting her new worktops and sink in. Well I say we, Mick is doing it and I'm keeping him supplied with tea and sarnies :D

Di my heart was sinking, reading about the little dog, I was very relieved at the happy ending! :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

Love to all :) xxxxx

Afternoon all, it's mostly cloudy for our last day in Benidorm so perfect for us to hike up to the cross overlooking the town. Most of it was on a road, but very steep. The reward was spectacular views. Spent some time chatting to a lovely elderly couple from Birmingham who have been coming here annually for 35 years - now they drive here from home. They have been married 58 years  This morning we were talking to a Welsh couple at breakfast, and the woman said she recognised us from when we were here last year! It turned out that they had, like us, visited Tunisia many times and stayed in the same hotel that we always stayed in around the same time as us, isn't it a small world! I have done a large part of the packing, as we have a pick up time tomorrow of 10am for the trek home. We have been really enjoying ourselves and are talking about when we can come back.

Good afternoon everybody.
It was sunny when I went shopping this morning. It is still warm but there are clouds now.
Am typing this on my laptop. My computer is poorly. Evidently one of the hard drives is no longer working. Thought I had transferred the data to an external hard drive.
But it didn't go from the computer.
i am having a new hard drive fitted on Monday I may have to send the old hard drive to a company who specialize in recovering lost data from hard drives.
My wife wanted me to get a new computer but i said I would rather spend the money on recovering the data.

So Di - why did the chip say she lived elsewhere? I'm so glad her owner came for her, but I do get cross when chips are not updated - you may remember a little cat that came here last year, we nicknamed him Garfield - his owner was a French lady so we were really confused!! He went home but then we found out later he had gone missing again and had died :( Well done you for going to all that trouble x

Osc I'm glad you had a great holiday - how nice to remember people from last time :)

So we had the littlies stay last night....just as well Tom is on the ball as Lily was sick during the night but he was beside her and she woke him by making a choking sound before she vomited, bless her. I'm no good at all with vomit, so really glad he dealt with it! I was blissfully unaware in the other room.....AND he took the bedding off this morning to wash! I had a funny start to my day - first my one and only pair of black trousers that actually fit needed ironing, and while I was doing that I noticed the stitching on the bum seam had come adrift, so I had to quickly try several pairs on to find a pair that would do for this morning! Gets downstairs to put my boots on, and I'd only brought one shoe and one boot! I blame the kids....

I've done not a lot since we got back from the walk - we went on one of our faves round the riverbank in Durham, my the city centre was busy! Loads of people out drinking in their bright colours! We stopped and had an ice cream, which was lovely. But we are forecast thunderstorms later on so that'll be me hiding under the stairs! :?

Enjoy the rest of the evening and take care if you get thunder! xx

Gal the woman used to live in Hull, the dog was registered in 2007 so older than she seemed.
She just forgot when she moved but is updating it now.
