Cream Tea .....

Postby TheOstrich » 11 May 2018, 13:11

Mrs O had the munchies last night and had a craving for a good old-fashioned "Dorset cream tea".

Scones? None in the house. So Carr's Water Biscuits were deemed an acceptable substitute.

Cream? We never have any, but she did find the residue of a nearly out-of-date tub of crème fraiche in the depths of the fridge.

Strawberry jam? Yes, she knew we had one on the go in the fridge, so that was alright.

Unfortunately, she didn't have her glasses on, and got hold of the wrong jar ....

The final combination - water biscuits, crème fraiche and cranberry sauce!   :D :D

"I thought it was a bit sharp," she said afterwards ....
