Clever writing Di, with all the early chapters alternating the voice of the wife and the husband, the wife in the past and the husband in the now and I have no idea where it's leading. I shall be reading more of her books. I tend to avoid modern American authors but this one is a winner for me.
I've finished Reservation Road and really enjoyed it, despite finding it a bit hard to get into at first. Now I'm back with Hilary Mantel and I'm reading Fludd at the moment. Like a lot of her books it's a bit weird but I'm enjoying it.
I have Gone Girl on order from the library but have been waiting for ages for it.
I was reading Thursdays in the Park on Kindle and then my mum lent me Paul O'Grady's first autobiography. I am nearly finished that (am really enjoying it) and will then go back to Thursdays in the Park until something comes from the library.
Debih..I have read the first two Paul O'Grady autobiographies. The second book made me laugh out loud..alot!
My best friend is coming over next week with the third and final installment that her daughters got her for Christmas..can't wait to get my mitts on it.
Oh..friend is coming over for a holiday..not just to bring me a book!
Di and Debih! Get 'Gone Girl' as soon as you can and read it. You are both denying yourselves the pleasure as it is terrific. I 'm 65% of the way through and what a journey of a read it is.
It isn't just a mystery or a crime novel, it is about relationships between men and women and the differences in the way we think. So many layers and often uncomfortable.
