Ooh very nice Osc!
Me and Tom were saying just last night that we need another trip to Dublin soon. Me and John keep saying we need to go too  You know, of all the times I've been there I've never yet been with John!

We timed that well. We went to Lichfield - me, John, Joe and Billy - and walked through the town and to the park. We sat and had drinks (Billy included) at the park cafe before walking back to the car. Got home to a constant rumble of thunder and a minute later it started pouring down. Still pouring and still rumbling half an hour later..

Well we got no storms during the night thankfully - or else I was too far gone to notice! I am scared stiff of lightning....even at my great age! And none yet up to now today either - everyone else must have my share! :D

So, woke up to a sleeping cat lying beside me, as he usually does, but he is eating a bit more today so must have wanted me up and feeding him, LOL. He's taking his tablets quite well under the circs...just hope he's back to his usual playful self soon!

Got dressed and had a drive to Hartlepool - I went to Primark and Asda, then to Argos and finally Dunelm where I had a latte and a tray bake which was gorgeous. It was breezy and really pleasant there, not too hot. Drove along the coast to Crimdon after that and sat on the dunes for a few minutes but it was markedly cooler there! Then I came home, I had been out about 4 hours!

Been in the garden ever since, I put The Sundays on while I was out there, seemed appropriate and I LOVE Harriet Wheeler's voice 8-)

Tom will be setting off to come back from the caravan now since J and D have arrived for their few days' break so we'll likely get a takeaway for supper and maybe try out the new sun loungers I got from Argos!

Enjoy the evening everyone! xxx

Evening everyone :)

After a cloudy, rainy day we have a beautiful evening here now! Hopefully tomorrow will be the dry and sunny BH we were promised ;) Been a busy day here - we went out for the papers, then on to B&Q for some more plants (petunias and a small potted box plant) :) We'd just got home when we had a phone call - D inviting us round for a cuppa as Mick's brother and his wife were there.

I cooked lamb chops for dinner, and we're now putting our feet up! I've had a scratchy throat all weekend, and feel a bit feverish - I'm hoping it comes to nothing as Mick wants to go to an art exhibition tomorrow!

Love to all :) xx

It's only just stopped Saundra! We had a power cut for a time and there's lots of flooding, even the M6 was flooded and down to one lane in places. At least the bedding plants I put in this morning have had a good watering :x

It sounds like you've had a lovely day :D

Kaz, I hope it doesn't come to anything xx

The rib was gorgeous :D
I cooked it like a giant steak but in the oven, and we had it with chips, a big pile of watercress, and a mustardy mayo sauce.
Lots left :)

Leo's birthday party has just shut down - he's three today. He's a bit of a lad after a few orange juices. Bless. :D :D

Nothing but sunshine here all day, and tomorrow is forecast to be the same.
