Don`t laugh!!

Postby lissie » 02 Jun 2018, 21:37

You must be getting fed up hearing about my new wet room but i have a problem with it.
They put the loo in yesterday and put a taller one in so it would be easier for Don to get off and on. That is ok but what about me and anyone else who uses it. My little feet don`t touch the ground and it feels awkward to say the least. I will have to say something to the builders on Monday and see if they can suggest a compromise. Don thinks it is funny

Ah Lissie, that reminds me of being aged five or six. Mum was very practical and left an upturned roasting tin in the little room to help me and sis get on and off and stay clean. ;) :D :D

We have what's called a 'comfort' loo too lissie, it's about 3 inches taller than a normal loo. It's so much better for E, but like you I found it very strange to begin with. The boys, especially Noah the youngest, found it difficult, but soon got used to it. As it turns out, it's been perfect in my present situation. Long term you will probably be grateful you have it.

My mom has one of those Lissie and it is a matter of getting used to it; mom loves it as it really makes things a lot easier for her. But if your new loo is that high that your feet really don't touch the ground when you use it, then you may well need to come up with a compromise, be it a regular loo or maybe (not quite the roasting tin Frank mentioned) but some type of step you can use

Hopefully a solution that works for you both can be found x

Oh dear Lissie :D :D it's the rack for you, to stretch your legs ;) Or a trampoline?

Seriously, a small step wuild make all the difference. A bit of a faff, I know, but if it helps make Don's life a little easier, well worth it.

I was about to suggest a step too! Those ones that they make for little ones, that fit round the base? Xxxx
