Good morning sunday

Minnie is better now thank you Kaz, her first day back to just proper food. Slowly but surely and ignoring her hunger pays off.

It was too hot to do much in the garden, but we made a good start, Bb will do some more once it's shaded.
Next door has given us a tray of 8 cosmos and a tomato plant, so we need to get some pots ready.

Decided on burgers for dinner as there was mince in the freezer, so we've just popped out for buns and lettuce

Well it's grey and dampish here today after an evening/night of lots of rain! Well we needed it I guess, luckily here wasn't as bad as further west, flooding - lots of flooding - up by Consett way....

My elbow is still sore and puffy....treating it with TLC today, as well as ibuprofen gel and Arnica. Tom's been at the farm since early morning, I had a shower and headed out to mooch at the Arnison Centre, didn't buy anything, then decided to try The Tea Barn just along from the shopping centre, I had a huuuuuge scone, filled a plate - and a latte, but oh my, too busy!! Long wait in the queue, another long wait for my scone to arrive, so I wolfed it down and got out as quick as I could - wish I'd gone to Costa

Just got home as Tom was getting back in from farm, he's now gone to bed to catch up on sleep and I'm having an hour online. Not sunbathing weather today sadly and can't even do a wash as it would never dry. Ah well.... enjoy it, those of you who have sunshine....this time last week it was GAWjuss!!!

It's a lovely day here, just a few clouds floating by and a gentle breeze. We went for a lovely long walk at the back of the local castle - it used to be famed for rhodendrons, many rare types as well as the normal native one. The rhodendrons used to be maintained years ago, as were the paths, but sadly not any more. Once or twice we had to bend double to get through them, but it was lovely and quiet, hardly any people. We came back past Miss Osc's house, SIL was doing a bit of work outside so we stopped for a chat, the rest of the family came out to chat too. Kellie took part in her first Park Run this morning! Michael likes doing it and she has been saying for a while that she wanted to run too, but when it came to it she always baulked. However today she actually took part and ran about 3/4 of it with Miss Osc running beside her. She was delighted with herself.

Back for lunch and I had a little snooze in my chair Going to do some ironing now, also need to take washing off the line and do another load to go out tomorrow.

Hope your elbow will be ok Gal. We seem to be alternating weather at the moment, as this weekend is much nicer here than last!

We just went to Corettos in the end It is nice there though, outside in the sun, people watching. There was some kind of scooter meeting/convention type thingy going on down there, so it was lively We've had an hour in the garden, the lamb's in the oven, and we're watching Inspector Montalbano on the iPlayer
