Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 07 Jun 2018, 04:35

Good morning.

Hot & sunny. 8-)

6.30am and I'm showered and ready for the day!

Don's alarm went off at 5.30 as he was going to the airport to pick up a friend returning from the USA. I rolled over to go back to sleep but a rather naughty little feathered friend outside decided today was the day he was going to tweet at full volume!  It was easier just to get up and get on with the day.

I'm in work at 9 again this morning for a couple of hours. Need to go to the post office, Primor and Mercadona so I'll tag all that in with a spot of brunch. :D

Work 4 - 9 then meeting Don for a pre-weekend beer.

Have a great day everyone.

PS....feathered friend is still giving it plenty!

Morning :)
Dull here today, showers forecast.

Ally I love the early mornings this time of year :)
Minnie and I wander around our very small garden, just looking at the plants and listening to and watching the birds :)

No appointments today, Bb working, the day is mine.
Going into town for a bit, not sure what else, maybe a garden centre.

Hope everyone has a good day

Good morning Ally Jan and Di. :)

Cloudy and cooler here today. I'm going to the dentist this morning and then after that to let a friend's dog out for a run around the garden. He usually works from home but can't today. MrsC is baby wrangling this morning, we may go out together this afternoon.

Have a good day all.

Morning all :)

We often get a dawn chorus here, wood pigeons I think :)

Have a nice moochy day Di, whatever you decide to do :D

Have fun with your strimmer Jan :) I love donkeys but not sure how I'd feel about being woken by braying :?

Hope you get on ok at the dentist's Crommers xxx

Walking into town with B this morning, she's on lates and her shift doesn't start until 1.30, so we're having a cuppa and a catch up. I don't see much of her when she's on lates, as I'm often out of the house by the time she gets up, then she's not home until lateish.

My hip aches a bit after Zumba last night, Aaron works us harder than Jane did, and it was baking in the hall last night, even with all the doors open and two big fans going   A walk will sort me out, I did 16,000 steps yesterday  Pilates tonight.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all :D

Woke up for the loo at 5.30am and the rain was pounding down. Managed to get back to sleep until 8.30, it's nice and dry now and I think the forecast is quite good so we'll see.

Our bedroom is at the front of the bungalow so we don't hear the birds first thing, but the back garden is full of them. It's almost like a bird sanctuary, lovely to watch during the day.

Providing the rain stays away we're planning on getting a taxi over to the big Tesco, yes I know, the excitement  Later I'll be booking cinema tickets for next week, we'll have to do two trips just to catch up as we've missed a couple of big blockbusters and there's another one for the week after so we need to pack the visits in.

Have a good day :D

Good morning all!

It was sunny and there wasn't a cloud in the sky when I took Billy out at 6.15. We walked around the woods and when we emerged back onto the common at 7.30 it was misty and still is now.

First job of the day is to try and find a new window cleaner. We seem to get let down time and time again and there's even one who quite often puts glossy flyers through the letterbox touting for business but fails to reply when you ask for a quote!

Food shopping tonight so I need to do a shopping list and meal plan for next week.

We don't get many birds here apart from the pigeons which are stripping next door's cherry tree (which overhangs our fence) of it's fruit. It gets a bit noisy in the woods though

Have a good day all!

Morning all, it's mostly sunny with some cloud, and nice and warm. Thursday so children, I'll be collecting Kellie at midday. In the meantime, I have a jeans wash on, and want to make a batch of soup. Miss Osc and family are going on holiday for a week on Saturday and come back the day we go, so after today we won't see the children for two weeks.

The Kite Runner was very good last night, much more stark than the book which was so beautifully written that maybe you didn't quite take on board the reality of Afghanistan. Our dawn chorus is mostly seagulls, who enhance the chorus by sometimes stamping on the roof and banging on the bathroom skylight
