Good evening, it has been another lovely day here, although it started quite cloudy. We did some bits and pieces around the house and then went for a long walk, by which time the sun was out. After we got back we had lunch out on the terrace, then just sat in the sun with me reading my book. Now we are settling down to watch Soccer Aid.

Hi all - sorry no way of calling in yesterday, we were up and on the road to Northumberland by shortly after 9, arrived at 10 and then no internet as the van is in a completely rural area. I managed to get a squish of 3G on the beach! :D 8-)

So, it started off grey but the sun soon broke through, and then it was HOT!! We did a little walk along the beach but mostly it was relaxing in the van and deciding what to buy for it next, I think some outdoor colour in the form of bedding plants etc. We're up again next weekend as my bro and his wife are joining us - this is the trip we postponed from Easter when it rained sooooo much, please can we have dry sunny weather this time, pretty please??? 8-)

Came back from van early pm today, home by 2.30. Charlie had been on his own for long enough I felt, and it started to rain just as we got back from another long walk along the beach this morning (where we nipped in for coffee to our favourite village tea rooms) so the first half hour of our journey home was a bit wet!!

Have a lovely evening all xxx

That's really good news Jen : D

Your day sounds good Osc :) Ours has been nice, coffee (tea in my case) and a panini in the sunshine, then we finished the skip loading at D's and stayed for a while, sitting in her lovely garden. Home then to potter in the garden for a little while, then I remade the bed that I'd stripped earlier, and we had steak, sweet potato wedges and baked peppers/onions/tomatoes for dinner.

Blinkin' cold here

Supposed to be really hot later in the week - oh yeah, believe it when I feel it

Did a load of weeding, Steve came round to borrow books, in case his wife has to go to hospital tomorrow and Grumpy had sorted out the washing machine waste - we'll eventually get it further down the garden, but it does okay for now.
