Scorchio and just home from an 8km run....I thought I'd be clever and avoid the heat. I got that wrong.

Pool, sunbed and book for me today.

Wishing all dads a happy Father's Day - I'll be ringing mine later where he's on holiday with mum in the Lake District.

Cloudy and very dull at the moment. Don't mind too much so long as it doesn't rain, as we want to get some gardening done.

Eldest has sent Bb a present from Amazon which is nice of him

Good morning all from Southampton! We arrived yesterday evening after a 2 1/2 hour delay to our flight. The Premier Inn is great, so convenient, and we had a nice Italian meal nearby. Di, we have been talking about our last time here when we had such a lovely time with you, Loz, and dorisday - do you remember how hot it was We have plenty of time today for a leisurely breakfast, organising our cases etc. and check out is not until midday. Our boarding time is 3.30 but we are going to try and get on earlier. Just a bit excited

We've gone from 21C last week to 38C today Obviously by-passed spring altogether

Will be out in the garden, cutting back some plants which are over-taking and crowding out others.. Grumpy will be pool cleaning and then wall building.

If the wind drops, I have high hopes of getting in the pool later - or if it does get hot later, then the wind will be warm anyway

Chicken on the bbq later before the Brazil match.

Do it's cloudy here too! I managed to get my bit of gardening done yesterday, between drizzly showers! It was only potting up a few begonias that Sue from next door gave me

Morning all, it's quite brighter here and much cooler and fresher than it has been, it's so much more pleasant but higher temperatures are forecast to be back this week.

Billy's had his walk, John's out on his bike, Joe's not come home from his night out yet (we knew he was staying at his friend's house though) and Tom and Shannon haven't got up yet. I'm just having a coffee break before doing some gardening. There're the lawns to cut and I've got some begonias to plant out too Kaz!

Managing to potter round the house crutch free, will be a little while before I'm strong enough to manage out on the pavement, but getting better every day.

Just the two of us today E's had some lovely cards and messages and I've planned roast chicken dinner and a bottle of bubbly for later.
