Morning :)
Blue sky, sunshine, calm sea :D
Had a coffee sitting on our balcony, gazing at the view :)
I sent Ally a picture via whatsapp, but it took about 15 minutes to go, so I won't try again!

We have a bit of a plan. First breakfast, then once we're ready a drive up to Ryde, then on little roads to Seaview, Bembridge, Sandown and back here, stopping anywhere and everywhere that takes our fancy :)
Hope you all have a good day
x
Ps happy end of term Ally!

Morning Ally, Di and everyone

Normally, I'd say hot, blue sky and sunshine. Today, it's warm, cloudy and supposed to rain :o  A friend, just over the Alentejo/Algarve border had torrential rain and thunderstorms yesterday

Think we might be going to the wood man this morning, to get wood for the new bathroom ceiling :D Then again, we might not - the person in charge keeps changing his mind. I need to get out and strim again, but I'll leave it until tomorrow now.

Enjoy your tootling around Di x Grumpy says Bembridge is well worth a visit. I've never been 8-)

Have a good day everyone ,whatever you're doing xx

Morning all

A glorious sunny morning but with a nippy wind; but still - the sunshine makes up for it.

Ally, that sounds like a perfectly long summer break. Are all schools on holiday that long or just some?
Di have a fab day driving round - hope you have the perfect weather for it. Try go past the garlic farm (and I think there's a chilli farm as well) - they're both meant to be good
Jan, hope you day pans out as hoped

Usual / usual for me today. Nail appointment tonight and then I'm off tomorrow and Monday so a nice long weekend for me :Hi:

Have a lovely day all x

Good morning all, it's sunny and very breezy here.

I'm sitting here with an ice pack on my hand, I've been in the wars. I'd made Joe a sandwich on a Tuesday and was drying the knife to use later rather than putting it in the dishwasher and somehow managed to sprain my finger, then I got bit by something on the same hand that evening while walking Billy and my hand is incredibly itchy and quite swollen. I seem to be susceptible to bites this year, I had 13 at one time on my arm last month and I was bit 7 times on my leg last Saturday.

Di, that all sounds lovely!

That really is a long Summer holiday Ally!

Ria, I think the garlic farm does garlic ice cream amongst other things - I remember my sister mentioning it.

Have a good day all!

Jo, take an antihistamine if you haven't yet - hopefully that will reduce the swelling and alleviate the itching

I have done Ria, I take antihistamine daily anyway due to allergies. I've tried various creams too (hydrocortisone, Anthisan, calamine, Germolene) and they make no difference either.

Morning all :D

Bit windy but lovely and sunny here 8-)

Gosh that's a long summer holiday Ally, lucky you :D

Enjoy your day Di, we love the IOW, so much to see :D

Much as I like ice cream Jo, a garlic variety doesn't sound tempting at all :?

Physio was helpful, he's very happy with the exercises I'm doing (I downloaded a full set from another hospital site) he only felt the need to add one extra. He agreed with me the ankle is now more of a problem than the hip and has given me a set of exercises to strengthen it. He's happy with how I'm walking without the crutches, although he said to continue with one when out on uneven pavements. I'm booked in again in two weeks time and he's optimistic I'll be able to discard the crutches altogether by then. The best news is he said the hip's strong enough to start driving again, it's my left ankle and I drive an automatic so that's okay too. Obviously not great distance's to start with, but most places we go are just 10mins drive away. He advised to phone my car insurance peeps just to let them know and they're quite happy so we'll be off out in the car to the shops later. Back to normal, M&S and then Tesco whoop whoop :D :D :D

Have a good day :D
