Morning Saundra, morning all.

We're forecast to get to 44 degrees although I'm sure it hit that and beyond yesterday.

Been for my swim and now enjoying a coffee on the terrace. :D :D

I've got a hair appointment for 5.30pm so will have a quick run in and home again.

Good luck to the England team tonight - I'm not a fan but hubby is. :P :P

Have a great day everyone.

Morning :)
A bit of cloud at the moment, it will clear.

I'm not worrying either Saundra, enjoying it too much :)

Craft this morning, then collect a top from M&S.
Had 20% off with sparks, but when I ordered it, it said sale preview and took 40% off, it was only £5.70 :)

Hope you all have a good day

Morning everyone

Mist now gone, sun out and now the clouds are appearing again :cute: :cute: But it's warm. Not as hot as it should be, but lovely to work in 8-)

Jose has put his sheep in the filed next to us and as they have their wander around, it's normally about 5.00am when they get to near us   So we have the bleats, bells and dogs barking

Grumpy will hopefully finish off the wall building today and sort out how the roof will be. We need to get some stain from the hardware shop, as I decided I wanted it the same as the other ceilings, not done in a pine. And he needs to get some wood to make the door frame, but that's for tomorrow.

I'm going to wage war on the spikey things growing on the drive and "lawn", so will be out with a sharp tool. And gloves

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning,
The sun is out again. There is a breeze which is mking it cooler outside.
Shoping this mornig. Dancing tonight.
I remember 1976. It was the year I got married for the second time.
Saw the smoke from the fire on the moors at Winter Hill when we went out last night. The firefighters and soldiers must sweet a lot having to wear heavy protective clothing in the heat from the fires as well as the sunshine.

Morning all

Cruiser, those firefighters and all other emergency workers really deserve every bit of respect we can give them; they do such a tough job - I certainly wouldn't want to be trading places with them. Last summer in SA (so our winter here) Cape Town again had a huge wildfire and it's always amazing just how much the public rally round with endless supplies of food, water and if not too far away from the fire (but still safe) space in their garden for them to sit and catch their breath, use the loos etc...

Such a beautiful morning again; I'm just loving this weather. Cannot wait for the weekend so I can be outside enjoy it. I'm off to Hampton Court Flower Show on Sunday and it's going to be a scorcher

Kaz and Saundra, I haven't been listening to or read the news much - is there talk of water shortages? We had so so much rain in April, surely it can't all be gone yet?

another usual / usual for me - have a lovely day all x

Now have fluffy white clouds and it's warming up nicely 8-)

We have yet to give our annual donation to our local fire brigade, will do it soon though and take water etc for them too.

Just spent an hour watering everything

And just had our first tomatoes - sheer heaven. Proper tomato taste :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

Meriad,
A manager from United Utilties said on TV in the last few days that they had plenty of water in the resevoirs. The problem is that they cannot treat it quickly enough as people are using more to water gardens which would not happen when there is ample rainfall.
More houses mean more people using water which still goes through pipes which can be over 50 years old and not meant to supply increased numbers.
This does not seem to be considered when new houses are planned.

Good morning all!

Ria, I had a text from South Staffs Water yesterday educating me on how to save water.

Billy's had an early walk, now I'm waiting for Tom to sort out any washing he wants doing so that I can put the machine on. We went to Ikea last night, me and him, and bought some bits for his room and I bought some more glasses as we keep running out (probably could do with an industrial sized dishwasher too). He's in work shortly so hopefully he'll sort it out before he goes.

Got all the windows, patio doors and utility room door open here and someone's house alarm keeps going off!

Have a good day all!
