We've had two lots of heavy-ish rain this morning It's finished now but thunder is still rumbling away in the distance. The skies are clearing and it's still warm.

Apparently the storms Cromwell and I were on about knocked out the railway signalling system. Leeds station has been at a standstill for most of the day.

I went down to see my sister earlier and BIL is coming home from London, but the train is stopping at Doncaster. Sis is off to drive to Donny to pick him up otherwise he would be on a transfer shuttle bus up to Leeds.

The BBC weather app is giving an 80% chance of rain down here this evening and overnight, but I've got to the stage that I'll believe it when I see it.

It's certainly cloudy though, and no chance of seeing the blood moon tonight.

Possibly more rain forecast in the south for Sunday.

In my experience, you can guarantee that everytime the BBC News says there will be an eclipse, a comet. a meteor shower, or anything up in the sky, there will be 10/10ths cloud cover! And that is what we have down here at the moment, after hardly seeing a cloud for nigh on eight weeks!
