Thank you Ally, I looked yesterday, the recipe is not on the website and I'd deleted our recording!

I just googled Eat Well For Less Biryani Di and got the recipe there. It says to start with rapeseed oil but I just used a wee bit of vegetable oil. :D

Is that not the same thing? :? :? :?

I know you get sunflower oil but I always though vegetable oil is rapeseed oil? What is it made of otherwise? One learns something new every day

Rapeseed oil is usually labelled just as vegetable oil in the UK, however, it can be a blend so read the label.

The heart people were very strongly of the opinion that for those of us with heart problems the only cooking / salad dressing oils we should us are olive or rapeseed.

Thanks Ally. Sunflower oil was OK as a less used substitute, but we were warned off things like peanut, palm and coconut oils.

A sprinkle of nut oils such as sesame or hazelnut were OK for flavouring.

It's a bit of a minefield.
