Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 01 Aug 2018, 05:19

Good morning.

Where did July go??!!

As it's August it will get even hotter. 8-)

I'm off for some running up and down our hilly streets...my ticker is ticking!

Back for a swim then plonk myself down at my outside library. ie. the pool.

I'm making Thai fish cakes with a herb and peanut salad for dinner. I had this for a starter at the Thai Brasserie a couple of weeks ago and it was flippin gorgeous. :D :D

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all :D

Up at silly o clock, blood test at 8.35am. We'll probably find somewhere to have brekkie afterwards, I'll need a treat

It's lovely and sunny already, so I expect it will be the garden and my kindle when we get back.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning everyone

Sun is out, although it was a little chilly at 7.00, doing the watering. Going to be hotter later, shutters will be kept shut, blind down in the lounge.

Grumpy has done the second top coat outside and is about to make a start on tiling the tops of the walls. I've done the watering, was going to move a load of dead grass, but Jose Felipe came up and did it for me  He's done all the poles, ready for the fencing. Strong lad that. He just whacked down a pole aa couple of times in the ground - which is hard - poured some water in it and then put the proper pole in. Sorted

I've got ironing to do and I think we'll have a bbq later. If we sit on the back terrace, we should be okay.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning :)
Blue sky, sunshine :)

Ally I love Thai fish cakes, and the salad sounds good too.
Bb not eating fish, I often make similar but with chicken or pork mince.

Last treatment today hurrah, just need to remember it will take quite a long time to recover from this lot.

Have a good day all

Good morning all, just waiting for John to get ready so that we can go for breakfast. Love a Wetherspoons breakfast. Think I'll have pancakes with bacon and maple syrup :D

The wedding is at 11.30, the venue is only 10 minutes away though (Court Colman Manor, it looks posh ). They've been together a long time, well over 10 years, since Sarah was 14 and Oliver was 16.

Have a good day all!

Morning all

Jo, enjoy the wedding - did you manage you fish & chips on the beach in peace and quiet yesterday?
Ally have a fab relaxing day - it sounds just perfect; and besides the blood test yours sounds as good Jen.
Di, good luck for the treatment and take it as easy as you need to until you're feeling better ((hugs)) x
Jan, hope you get done what you need to - and enjoy the BBQ
Cruiser you too, hope you get what you want

Well, we here at work were expecting a rather important meeting so were told we all needed to be here by 8am. I usually start at 8.30 and about 4 people are here before me, but the rest usually only drag themselves in anywhere from 9.30 onwards - so an early start for that lot :D . Only for all of us to get in and find out that said important meeting; the people have had travel issues and now won't get here before lunch time. Lots of rather disgruntled faces about :D :D :D

So besides the earlier start it's a usual / usual for me

Have a lovely day all x

We did Ria and they were lovely!

We were back in the bar downstairs when a text came through asking if we were still in Porthcawl ;)
It's why I rarely come down here. Every time we come down, and usually have plans to do something or go out somewhere, one of the first things you hear is "Theresa said..." or "Theresa suggested..." and you end up waiting for four couples, all of whom live in different areas and work different hours , to turn up and do whatever T suggested - if you go along with it because she'll have organised whatever it is to include her husband, three sons and daughter in laws too.
And 9/10 she 'forgets' her purse and has a freebie. Has done for as long as I've known her.
