Desperate times need desperate measures. It's so warm I've had to take my vest off!

Good morning all, it's dull and grey here but ever so humid; 89% humidity while I was out with Bill. Everyone I came across was complaining about it.

I didn't check in yesterday, I intended to once I'd got my jobs done but by lunchtime Bill decided he was going to be in a funny mood. No idea what upset him, whether it was the fact he'd had a change of routine with spending almost two days and a night with my parents or because someone's house alarm was going off every now and again but he worked himself into a bit of a nervous state and that went on until tea time :? He wouldn't settle and just kept pacing around, panting and trembling. Quite a few times he stood by the gate so I took him out around the side of the house each time to show him that there wasn't anything to worry about.

Anyway, the wedding was lovely. Quite alternative in a way, which is how O and S are (O plays guitar in a band and is a sound engineer in a recording studio). While we were waiting for the ceremony to start there was a lovely piano version of Blue Oyster Cult's Don't Fear The Reaper playing  and at the lull while the photos were being taken there were a couple of lads who O knows playing guitars and singing, they were fantastic and it turns out that one was the son of a member of Motörhead. The wedding favours were Pez dispensers and there were Polaroid style photos of each person in wire stands by the place cards on the tables, they'd gone to a lot of effort to do those!

Tom, Joe and Shannon got back late last night, they didn't intend on being so late as Shannon has work this morning but the M5 was closed and it took longer than planned so she stayed over and left at 7.

I think I'm going to cut the lawns now before it gets any warmer.

Have a good day all!

Morning all, it is very dull and muggy here, and it was raining earlier on. Similar weather to this day 16 years ago, when Miss Osc got married, although that day, the rain held off until we were at the reception but it was very hot.

Off to the gym this morning and dancing tonight. There will be lots of talk about next Friday when 26 of us are supposed to be going to Blackpool, but now Ryanair pilots have announced another strike for that day  we can do nothing though, until we hear if our Manchester flight is cancelled.

Steve has arrived to do the electrics :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

That means the floor tiling will have to wait until tomorrow

Think I'll give the pool a miss until tonight - my head would be fried  8-)

Jo, it's horribly humid here too, my newly washed hair is fried

Just finished the ironing

When B gets back from her eye test in town we're popping round to see L, who was my hypnotherapy client last year. She now operates a business making dog treats, alongside her main job as a private tutor and examiner - B ordered a "birthday cake" from her for Pepper and Fraggle, and we need to collect it

It's B's birthday tomorrow - she's 23  - and as we know Pepper was born in August some time, B has always insisted that they share a birthday :P

Hi all!

I've had a smashing day so far - planned a hot stones massage with my £10 off voucher at a local beauty place, I asked Jen if she wanted to come too as with her having hypermobility, a massage is a godsend. She came, we had our treatments and then popped over to a lovely café for a slice of cake (!) then she called in to collect some stuff from her old room, and have a play with Charlie, a natter with me, and she left about 2. I did a bit of a clean up, especially in the conservatory, which doesn't get a lot of attention cleaning wise, tbf. Been warm but grey up to now but I think the sun is triyng to put in an appearance as I type! We have 70% humidity also Kaz, the massage I had didn't help!!

I bought a new soft cone collar for Charlie which arrived today so I've pout that on him, think he prefers it to the hard plastic Elizabethan cone that he got from the vets! Thanks for the link Ria! xx

Got the outside light, also bought 2 lights for the en-suite and a curtain pole.

Poppedt ino the bar on the way back, so I could give Mitchell some of the courgette soup.

Hotterer tomorrow 8-)
