Been and back for a 7km run to avoid the heat...although it's very hot already.

Going to our health centre at 11am to donate blood.

Then on to Decathlon as I want to buy a new yoga/exercise mat.

No art, finished for the summer, but also no blood test
Will wait to hear from friend as I've offered a visit but she never knows what time the district nurses will come, so will phone once they've left.

Morning Ally, Di and everyone

Hot. Not really really hot, just hot. This is the last day of our really hot weather, back to manageable temperatures tomorrow.

Watering done, washing out, calmed Grumpy down, he's getting ratty, before he even starts the floor tiling

The fire is still raging, but going away from us, thank heaven. Villages and towns have been evacuated overnight, although some people have refused to move, because of their animals.

The ironing still awaits, but I think it can wait a couple more days so can the cleaning

Usual workday for me but have a friend staying over tonight. She and her partner of 12 years have split and he's staying at the flat tonight to sort through and collect his things so she (understandably) doesn't want to be there whilst he's there; so she'll be staying with me. Cat sitting tonight as well - sigh

Good morning. It is dull, but warm with very little wind. We are being a bit lazy, got up late and will have our showers in a while. Nothing planned for the day, I got all the ironing up to date yesterday. It's a bank holiday here. We are going to a 60th birthday party tonight, our former dance teacher, so there will be people we haven't seen for a long time, should be fun.

Di, I was about to type exactly this

Sorry to be late checking in, we had a terrible night with Fraggle, who has a poorly tum I was downstairs here with him - me on the sofa, him in and out of the open patio - until nearly 3.30, then we were up early cleaning the carpet, and stripping the bed down to its basics. He ran upstairs and jumped on our bed before we could stop him, I've had to bin our duvet and mattress cover. He has a vet appointment at 4pm - one advantage of B being a receptionist at our vets' means she could squeeze him in!

Managed to still get to WW on time, but heard some dreadful news about my friend's daughter Will post on a private board later - it hasn't been a good day
