Dull and spitting here but not quite raining (yet). I'm so done with this weather and would really like the sunshine back - not the 30+ temperatures necessarily, 25 / 26 would do mejust fine - but I really just want those blue skies and sunshine back - sigh

I was told my new hip should last around 15 years, think they're better these days Crommers. Hope the physio and injections help, if not better to have it done than suffer the pain.

Glad the weather turned out so well yesterday, really enjoyed our jaunt to the harbour. Will be even better when we can walk down there rather than catching a bus. Weekly shop today, M&S and Tesco. Need to stock up with a few goodies ready for the boys on Monday.

Ria, they're London-based but deliver Nationwide by courier. Someone gave me a code for a free bunch and when I used that they then gave me a code to pass on to people (so if anybody wants some free flowers, let me know!). It's set up as a weekly service but once you register online you can select when you want to receive them so you can have them as frequently or infrequently as you want.

Kaz, we have neither locally. If I shop in Stafford on a weekday I usually have a load of shopping and a bus journey so it's difficult to carry them, if we go in the car on a Saturday I've found that the choice isn't so good! Sainsbury's had hardly anything last weekend when I looked.

Anyway, they're here and are lovely; white Gladioli, white alstroemeria, white lisianthus, white Rose Athena and some stems of eucalyptus.

Afternoon all, sun and cloud here with an occasional few drops of rain. Children here today, but I brought Michael to golf for 12.00, then Miss Osc collected Kellie from here and was collecting Michael to bring them both to the dentist - they will be back here for their dinner. Mr Osc has been busy potting and repotting stuff out on the terrace, we also bought wind chimes yesterday and it sounds lovely tinkling away in the breeze - Kellie decided it was fairy music
