Good Morning Friday

Postby JanB » 17 Aug 2018, 03:30

Morning everyone

Silly hour to be up, it's dark, quite warm and going to be a lovely hot day 8-)

I'm off to Ourique once the shops open, to get a couple of things for tomorrow and yet more money  Antonia very kindly is going to Ikea for us and we need to give her the money before she goes. Saves us driving down there, as she does the trip at least once a week  8-)

Grumpy will be doing more things to the new drain - think he should finish that today, then just make good the path. He'll be inside as soon as the sun hits that side of the building. Curtain pole to go up and tiling the shelf in the shower.

Hope Saundra is feeling better this morning xx

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning :)
Lovely and bright and sunny out there.
Ton what we're you doing up at that time?!

Mabel's this morning, should be nice sitting outside.
Nothing else planned, apart from deciding on dinner and choosing yet another book to read.
Hope you all have a good day

Couldn't sleep Di, often happens   I'd normally go in the spare room and read, but we've got the shower, loo seat and other stuff on the bed, so sat on the sofa with Molly. She often comes in as soon as she sees a light on.

Went misty earlier, now clearing :D

Molly has gone out and Grumpy is up and outside, working :Hi:

Morning you two and happy Friday everyone

A lovely sunny start to the day, but rather nippy - it's feeling decidedly autumnal I think; not nice given it's only mid August!

It's going to be a very quiet day today; so many people out for holidays or just a day off that instead of the usual 22 we're only about 8 today. That makes for a long day.
Meeting up with friends for dinner this evening which will be nice, but does mean a late night. Usually when I meet up with friends after work it's around 6pm and I'm on a train no later than 9, but today one of the guys won't be able to get to us much before 7 so it'll definitely be a late one.

Have a lovely day all, enjoy whatever it is you're all doing

Morning all :)

That was an early start Jan :) Hope Antonia can get the bits you need 8-) xx

I think I envy you Mabel's, Di :D Have a great time :) xx

Have a lovely time this evening Ria :) xx

Food shopping with D today, then bed making when I get back, as I've stripped ours this morning. We have some new furniture coming today - two sideboards, one for each landing, and a bookcase for the living room 8-) They're being delivered this afternoon. I'll pop a link on the Home board later, if anyone is interested ;)

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Good morning all, it's sunny here and quite warm already.

John's cycled into work and Tom had an 8am shift, he finishes at 1.30. I took Billy out earlier and we came across the noisy people. I have a feeling that they may be teachers as I've only come across them during school holidays but they're a couple with four dogs - two Golden Retrievers and two Cocker Spaniels - and the the Spaniels are a nuisance, they get right in Bill's face and bark at him but while they're doing this the man blows a whistle to make them stop. It doesn't achieve anything, it just increases the noise level.

Ria, are you still having your Friday lunch in the office?

Yes please Kaz, I'd love to see!

Have a good day all!

I'd like to see too :D Lots of lovely storage space!

Kaz Mabel's is the best :)
Last year while yoga was off, we tried all sorts of places, more this year too. In the end we decided none were as good as Mabel's so now it's every Friday, all year round :)

Jo, that's hilarious about the whistle! It's like Mick, he will insist on yelling at ours when they start barking, I keep telling him that's the worst thing you can do, as the dogs just think he's joining in the fun   :geek: I just look them both in the eyes, raise a finger and say no, and they stop! Well Pepper always does, Fraggie usually  :cute:

Mabel's always sounds fab Di :D Great to go every week! I will definitely put that link up later. Can't do it now, running late for D as I've spent too much time on here  ;)
