New Sideboards and Bookcase

Postby Kaz » 17 Aug 2018, 17:13

Two new sideboards,
one for each landing, and a bookcase for the living room. We already have a sideboard on the first floor landing, which is a large space, but it's an old pine one, and getting really scruffy. On the second floor landing we have storage boxes.

The bookcase is to replace an old pine one in the living room, as the pine one doesn't really go with my nest of tables, in light oak.

They arrived this afternoon but are still in the garage, in their packaging, as Mick needs help getting the sideboards upstairs and Becky is a lot stronger than me. They are really solid!

I really like all of those!
I wish we had room for something on our first floor landing, it's a good size but the wall which would be the place to put something has a radiator on it. We've got an understairs cupboard there though which is useful.

Thanks :D

Minor panic when we realised the bookcase didn't look right where the old one had been (it's deeper and came out too far) but we've moved it into another corner, moved the floor lamp, and the bigger sofa over a bit, and bingo!! It actually makes the room look bigger 8-)

We managed the smaller of the sideboards, so that's now in situ! It looks fab :Hi:

Jo, that's a shame, but an understairs cupboard is not to be sneezed at :Hi: We have no built-in cupboards at all, apart from the two built-in wardrobes in our bedroom, and one in the bedroom Mick uses as his study!

Here's the smaller one, on the first floor landing :) I'm really pleased with it 8-)
