Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 23 Aug 2018, 04:44

Good morning.

Sunny and in the low 20's. Perfect. :D

Yesterday was fantastic. The train journey to Wengen in the morning then the hike to the cable cars in the afternoon. We needed 3 to take us to the thrill walk. Words can't describe how utterly stunning the scenery was and then to do the thrill walk itself was just brilliant. :D

When we'd finished we had a well deserved beer on the glass floored cafe surrounded by snow topped mountains on a warm sunny day. Magical.

When we got back to Lauterbrunnen we dumped our rucksacks and explored the town. There are 50 waterfalls here and we climbed up to one and actually stood under it. The noise was deafening. :D

We had dinner last night and conked out about 10 O'clock.

A non yomping day today.... we're driving to Italy. :D

We'll see where we end up and stop somewhere to have pizza for lunch. :D

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Light now an will be another rather warm day 8-)

Sounds a magical day Ally :D Not sure about that thrill thing though    Enjoy your day today :D

Ironing for me, once I've done the watering.

Then will be doing not a lot  Grumpy will be grouting the shower floor and the tiles by the outside kitchen and might find the energy to sort out the tiling for the shelf in the shower.

Hope the poorlies are feeling better x

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning :)
Dull, rain forecast this morning but better later.
Yesterday was ok enough to get washing dried.

It all sounds amazing Ally, and the pics on fb are wonderful.
Got to be a proper Italian pizza hasn't it :D

No plans today, will see how the day goes.
Hope you all have a good one.

Morning all :)

It all sounds absolutely amazing Ally, really glad it's living up to expectations :D Have a lovely day in Italy 8-)

Soon be finished now then Jan? :) Ugh, I hate the smell of tile grout :?

Morning Di, hope you have a good one :)

Mick and I are meeting friends for coffee in the Quays this morning, then I need to get up to D's at some point, to water the greenhouse veg, and her plants, as she's away until Saturday. It rained here last night, so it might actually only be the greenhouse, but we'll see ;) No Pilates tonight, Steph is still on holiday.

Hugs for the plotlines ((((x))))

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning all. Italy sounds wonderful.

Yes, hopefully those under the weather will feel better soon. Has Saundra been around lately?

Off soon to take FiL to his relatives, then do the pensions run and drop MrsC off at our daughters.

It's a nice morning here. Blue skies and quite fresh. Have a good day all.

Morning all

Ally the trip is sounding amazing - same as Jan not sure about that Thrill Walk bit nor the beer on a glass floor high up, but the rest sounds perfect. Hope it's a lovely day today driving around... and dare I say; would need to be proper pasta for me not pizza :D although maybe a bit of everything - after all it's not as though you're there every day

Kaz, enjoy the meet up; Crommers what's the latest on your car?
Jan and Di enjoy your days doing not much

Half day for me - been invited to a PA lunch by the company my boss buys his wine from; was invited last year as well and it's huge fun and they do recommend taking the afternoon off (which I did) :D :D :D

Have a lovely day all, and vibes for the poorlies xx

Good morning all, I've not had chance to check in the last few days!

It's slightly brighter here now after a very rainy night (it started while we were out with Bill yesterday evening) and a foggy morning first thing. My lawn and the newly seeded patches are looking much improved though.

Tom's in work shortly and John's back in the office today after a couple of days on site in Sunderland (different visit to the one last week Gal), Joe's off out shortly and then has a driving lesson later this afternoon.

Had a really great day in London with Tom on Monday, it was my birthday treat from him. I've now just booked train tickets for me and John to have a day there in November. He was mardying the other day about the fact that we were going and he never ever ever goes anywhere (apparently).

Have a good day all!

Morning all :D

Sunny, warm and muggy here, rain's forecast for later though.

Great photo's on Fb Ally, it all looks wonderful, very envious.

Off out to do the weekly shopping, M&S and Tesco. Expect there will be hoards of peeps out buying for the Bank Holiday weekend as though foods about to run out, always wonder what they do with it all. It's not as though the shops shut for long these days.

Hope you all have a good day :D

It was lovely to catch up with our friends :) Mick only had the morning off, so he left me in town and I went into Marks's and got a few bits and pieces for a teriyaki stir fry tonight (ours was heaving too Jen  ) and am now at D's.

Nothing needs watering, but I'm airing the place through while I'm here, and picked up the post from the mat. Just having a quick sit down and will be on my way home in a minute :)

Ria, that sounds fab!!! The afternoon off is a good idea :P :lo

Jo that all sounds great, poor old John eh? ;) :cute:
