Morning all, it's overcast here. Thursday so children, they are back at school today. Miss Osc is collecting them and taking them for an icecream treat afterwards so she won't be dropping them off here until about 1.30pm - they both finish at 12.00 on their first day back. H/work this morning.

I always have a charity bag on the go, I generally try to operate a one in/one out policy although that doesn't always work  Hope Saundra is continuing to improve.

I do always have one on the go Osc, but every now and then make more effort. At the moment I'm clearing some books.

Morning all :D

Nice and bright, much better than yesterday when it didn't stop raining until late afternoon.

Thinking of Saundra, hope she's feeling much better.

We didn't get woken up until 7.30 this morning, a veritable lie in for the boys  Z&M rang, think they'll be here to collect them around 12. If they decide to set off home straight away, we'll probably do the weekly shop.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Yes, Meriad, I did lots of walking in my younger days. My family were great walkers and later I used to lead walks for the Ramblers Association.
For my age, I don't do too badly now, as I'm a great believer in the benefits of plenty of walking, and so is my dear wife.
However, I never did the sorts of mountain climbing that our Ally does. I keep telling my friends here in this Retirement Lodge how important it
1s to keep walking, as one can see how soon people deteriate when they stop doing it regularly. Admittingly it is not easy to do so when one has
certain illnesses or disabilities, but, I'm fortunate that my arthritus is at present confined to my arms and hands, and I can still out-walk most of
the other OAPs here.
There are no strangers here; Only friends you haven't yet met.

I think you're amazing Aggers...you look so fit and healthy and are full of fun.

You always take great interest in what's going on in the world - keeping the brain active is important as well as exercise (if one can still manage it of course.)

Rather warm now, and back from the dentist.

Not unpleasant but is going to be expensive   Can't do anything, as the other dentist is on holiday until the end of September  And at the prices they charge, I'm not surprised.

Had a pit-stop at the bar on the way back, had to sit outside, as so many bods in there and I could see my legs going browner by the minute

Washing machine on again and I'll head into the pool once it's pegged out.

Grumpy is staining all the bedroom doors  :D
