Good morning.

Hot and sunny again. 8-) 8-)

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Another rather warm day here too, although cooler, only mid 30's 8-)

Hope Di had a good night and things get done today x

Off to Ourique later, will pop into the dentists, see what's going on about my appointment, drop stuff off at the laundry, books to be left at the library and also collect Grumpy's anti-pneumonia injection from the chemist, then up to t he centro de saúde for the nurse to stick it in his arm   Although if we're lucky, the doc in the chemist will do it. Pit stop for coffee on the way back.

Will get more water from Pingo, as we're going through a lot more than normal, as it's been so warm recently.

Back to pottle and favas for dinner.

Hoope you're getting better too Saundra x

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Have a nice bonkers day Ally! Rather Grumpy than me Jan! Glad to hear your are a bit better Saundra. Thoughts are with Di today.

Just done my first set of exercises that the physio gave me yesterday. I got a good half hour with him, which is all to the good, though he did put me through it a bit. I suppose they have to find out where and how much it hurts before they know what exercises to give you. (As I'm typing this another kamikaze pigeon has flown into our kitchen window - we must have the daftest pigeons in Yorkshire around here).
Dan the physio also told me me right knee, the one that caused me to give up playing rugby, was very unstable and had probably caused problems on my other side trying to compensate for it. He said it could have been cruciate damage which would explain a lot.

Have a good day all.

Morning all

Ally, enjoy your bonkers day - Thai dinner at the end of the day sounds yum
Jan - good luck with getting all your bits and bobs done and fingers crossed the doctor at the chemist can do the injection to save you one trip
Saundra - how are you getting on? Are you able to get out and about a bit more?
Crommers - good on you; do stick to the exercise. It makes sense re the right knee affecting things. My mom walked around with a really bad hip for quite some time - she wanted to wait as long as possible before she had it replaced. But doing so has resulted in her other hip now needing to be done at some point because she was walking odd; and it's taken ages for everything to 'straighten' out as it should. She still walks a tad skew

Usual work day for me and meeting a friend for dinner after work

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all :)

Have a good Bonkers Day, Ally

Hopefully the chemist can do the jab, Jan :)

Morning Saundra, glad you're OK (((x)))

Glad you're getting the physio you need Crommers! It really helped me with my bad neck 8-)

Dad to hear that about your Mom's other hip Ria, but she made such a good recovery from the first one that I'm sure this one will be the same 8-) xxx

Well Pepper has gone in for the op on her benign lumps. We know they'll look after her well, and she'll get tons of TLC from everyone, including B who's on an early shift today. I can't help worrying a bit though. All being well she'll be home by teatime.

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Where shall I start?

Went to the laundry, not yet open. I know we were early, but still, 9.45, you should be open. Popped into the dentists, which is across the road. Oh Miss Janice, I was going to ring you today. Okaaaay. Appointment for next month  Looked across to the laundry, when we got out, thinking, she should be open now. A note on the door, saying she'll be back soon, so forget that, I'll try next time.

As we were walking back, I felt my sandals give way, the front was coming off the bottom bit (cheap Chinese rubbish   ). Walked down to Sonia's, had a coffee and gave her a load of cards for her daughter.

Took sandals off, just before they fell off  Fortunately, always have a spare pair of shoes in the car. Went to Chinese, bought 2 pairs of flip-flops, some velcro for Grumpy's sandals and a small pick-axe. And a handbag, as you do

Doc not in chemist, we could wait until this afternoon, no, not really, so went to the centro de saúde instead. Mums-to-be day - full of them   Carla, the nurse did the deed, he's now feeling a little tender, so will slap on some ice soon.

Forgot to get some water, so I might have to pop in tomorrow, but we're out for dinner tomorrow night, so will get some then. Also gave our annual donation to the local bombeiros.

Pit stop at the bar, now going to do nowt, apart from a swim. Grumpy is going to watch a film.

Quite warm, with a few fluffy clouds around.
