I'm another fan of contactless. I use it wherever I can.

I don't think we're that advanced here with the ATMs outside of banks Ally, the ones I use just dispense money, although there's now very little need to queue up for counter service once inside.

When I want cash I go inside the bank to one of the counters. Have to insert my debit card and pin number.
Will not use the ATMs. There is one outside and two inside.
Also never use the contactless cards. Put the card in the reader and then my pin number.

I was very wary about using outside ATMs in Birmingham. There were too many reported cases of distraction fraud, plus at one point we had a Leonese Loop gang very active in NW Brum (device fitted over the ATM portal to retain your card). I only used the internal ATMs at the bank branch itself.

Here in Dorset, like you, Cruiser, I use the bank counter (where I can draw out more than the ATM will dispense if I want to). The only drawback is regularly having to queue for 10-15 minutes to get served; that branch is always pretty busy.

I don't use the ATMs which are outside either Ossie. Thankfully the Co Op just opposite our estate has one inside which is useful when we don't want to go into town to the bank.

I always use the ATM inside the bank, far too many dodgy looking characters hanging about in the city centre. I don't remember having to order a new debit card, the bank sends them out when they're due.

I love our bank Jo. You can put cash into your account standing outside with the ATM and also pay bills.

Sooooo quick compared to before standing in the queue with a thousand chatty Spaniards.

Ally, I remember years ago when we were in Tenerife and John went to the bank to sort out some money and he was gone for a couple of hours
