My family knew I was in a forum but I never told them it's name it's my private space

Yes, I'm the same

I always refer to it as 'my favourite forum' and don't give the name away because this is 'my' space where I can moan about my friends and family and they won't know

I do realise though that it would be nice to have new members and that for anyone who finds us and has a gander through the posts will probably realise that we are actually not just forum acquaintances but proper friends and I imagine that can be quite off putting; like being the new kid on the block and trying to integrate into an existing circle of friends

I agree new members might find it quite daunting
and until now I wouldn't want a family member to know but now they do I doubt they would want to impose on my private stuff but if they do then I'm not bothered now hope they don't tho
