Could being the _very_ operative word. If she's tanked by 100 votes I doubt she would even think about going for it again even with a slight reword.

I have decided to be very relaxed about the whole thing until the 11th. I note Tusk stuck his long neb in and started saying that if the parliament did not vote for the "deal" it would be no deal or no Brexit. Thanks for that Mr Tusk.

Why thanks? Because if he's right then he already knows the decision of the CJEU, which is illegal and if he's wrong then we can call him a Histrionic fearmonger...

Of course No Deal is always an option. The EU simply don't believe that we'll go there. This is rather amusing because they were convinced that the UK would never, in a million years, vote to leave the EU.

Which just goes to show why they get it wrong when trying to negotiate with the UK. Every time. Because they simply don't understand us and that is the entire point of Brexit.

Ah, but there could be others. Bear with me, because us Remainers can be just as wacky as you Brexiters. ;)

Try these, all available on the Internet.

The Queen, having become fed up with it all, stands up and declares that she is to rule as an absolute Monarch.

or

As C-in-C she orders the military to take over and run the country.

or

MPs bypass May and ask the Queen to dissolve parliament and install a government of National Unity without any elections.

or (my favourite)

Over the weekend of 8-9th of December 649 MPs apply to become Crown Stewards and Bailiffs of the Manor, this would disqualify them from being an MP. Custom has it that requests are always met. When they are released none of them reapply to get elected back to the Commons.

The proposers all claim that they can be done. I do love our quirky constitution and our humour in the face of adversity.

So do I. However there are a few holes in most of these theories.

So the Queen after a lifetime of refusing to interfere in the affairs of the plebs, will suddenly take over. Only to hand over to Charles to rule as a virtual absolute monarch. Never mind the fact that the UK has a rather unfortunate history with Monarch's named Charles.

Then there is the fact that our rather quirky part written part precedent constitution has it as precedent that only the leader of the largest party can request the forming or dissolving of parliament, unless the leader has ceded that right to the opposition.

So having dealt with three of the fantasies, erm, possibilities, we come to the fourth. On which we have to rely on the honour and integrity of our MP's. Are you still sitting on your chairs or did you fall off?

In some ways it would be really great to see our politicians stick their fingers in the 1000 volt power socket. Alas I just don't see it...

Erm, you only dealt with two... typical Brexiter.

As for the electricity, the volts we can survive, it is the Amps that do the damage.
Amps...A Mps...spooky. ;)

Two birds with one stone. The queen would do neither.

Very spooky the A Mps though, you are right.

Latest news is that Science minister Sam Gyimah has resigned.

I do not give a fig which side you are on, but this drip, drip of resignations cannot go on.

The damage to the UK is now immeasurable and we need to find a way out (of the problem), and quickly.

God, if you exist, please help us.

It is quite good timing really. It was utterly predictable that the EU demand we share our security info whilst refusing to share theirs even though theirs is heavily reliant on our tech and expertise.

May is refusing to listen to reason so a steady drip of bad news is exactly what is needed.

I would like one or two more ministers to go before the 11th and a few more after.

It is time theTory party realises that the plan is a bust and May has lost the moral authority to get Brexit over the line.

And, for once, the BBC does a good job of explaining why the EU won't shift on the deal...

What does EU expect?

EU leaders aren't panicking.

They believe either:

the divorce deal (officially known as the withdrawal agreement) will pass through the House of Commons

the UK will end up opting for a closer relationship with the EU than the one currently envisaged

the UK will decide to stay in the EU after all.

Talk about viewing things from their owm perspective!

Over 40 years and they continue to mistake their own reactions for UK reactions.

I can't find the quoted text in the current articles, but, yes, EU leaders will not be panicking. Why should they? They have a proto deal they can live with, it is for us to collectively do the panicking on behalf of the incompetent Tory party.

Galileo is just the latest aspect of Project Omnishambles, also known as Brexit. The prospect of the UK being locked out of the security side of Galileo was recognised by both sides as long ago as Feb 2017, before A50 was triggered, but it was dismissed as just another part of Project Fear.

For it to now be presented as a resigning matter because it has suddenly jumped out and raised its ugly head is the laugh of the weekend. We have had 22 months to work on this one problem - 22 long months.

(TIC) I blame the EU for all our ills, awkward ba5tards.
