The Tories deserve to be out, for at least a generation. If we finish up with Corbyn, c'est la vie.
I'm beginning to think that the best option for the country now is:
May loses Parliamentary vote on the proposed deal.
Best option*: (and I say this as a Brexiteer) Parliament then agrees to terminate Article 50 (following the recent ECJ advisement) so we stay in the EU under existing conditions.
17m Leavers then turn their wrath on Parliament for subverting the result of the first referendum. Remainers keep their heads down.
Tories subsequently shot out by a landslide.
*The worst option would be a second referendum. If Remain then won it by a small margin (likeliest scenario), I cannot see the Leavers accepting that vote, and think it would tear the country apart.
Off to our local Mole Valley Farmers store tomorrow to source a yellow Hi-Viz jacket …..
