Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 07 Dec 2018, 05:21

Good morning.

A warm sunny day forecast again. 8-)

We're off into Malaga this morning for a two day break - we've booked an air bnb right in the square of La plaza Merced. :D

Miles of walking, shopping and sight seeing on the cards.

We're meeting Conor & Lucia tonight for dinner. :)

Have a great day everyone.

Getting picked up for the airport at 1.50, plenty of time to pack and have brekkie. Arrive back to Gatwick about 8.25 Saturday morning.

Will try to catch up later.

Morning everyone

Fog slowly clearing and we'll have another gorgeously sunny and rather warm day 8-) 8-)

Safe journey Jen xx

Have a lovely time Ally xx

We have a lot of lavender growing all over the place. So I decided yesterday that I'll dig up the one's in the "garden" and plant them by the fence, so next doors dogs can't see through so easily. We've tried all different things and why I haven't thought of this before   And general pottering in the garden, but only when the sun comes out ;)

Also going to make a curry for tomorrow and prep tonights dinner, which is becoming a firm favourite, chicken breasts on a leek bed, with a white wine sauce. Gert lush :)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it's pouring down here again this morning although quite mild. I hope we're not in for one of those wet and mild Winters (not that I want snow either but cold and dry would do with a bit of frost thrown in).

I'm waiting for it to stop so that I can walk Billy. Joe's left for college and Tom's not in work until later.

We're off out tonight for John's office night out. We were supposed to be boycotting it due to the holiday fiasco back in January but John felt bad for the few people who said they'd go so....oh well, at least I can ask his boss (who made John's dept take all of their annual holiday in January so that no one was off over the busy period in the Summer) how his 3 week holiday was which he took over the busy period in the Summer :( There's so much more happened since the holiday situation too. We won't be staying long anyway because John's got to drive to Sunderland first thing in the morning.

Have a good day all!

Morning all :)

Enjoy your break Ally, it sounds great :D

Safe journey home Jen xxx

That's a good idea about the lavender Jan 8-) :D

Jo, I could have said exactly the same about the weather, cold and crisp would be much better! I hope your evening goes ok, and that you manage a few "pointed remarks" 8-)

it's barely stopped raining here all week, and I'm fed up with it :o I'll be out and about in it at some point, to get my steps

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all - glory be and hallelujah for Friday's!!!!! :D :D :D

Ally have a fab fun time away, enjoy
Jen, safe travels home and don't forget to pack that sunshine
Cruiser, I haven't even started with my cards. I usually design and print my own and then donate to charity instead of buying cards and paying for postage. But as per usual I'm really late.
Jan, the lavender will be lovely against the fence and hopefully actually also have a bit of a calming effect on the dogs; which would be nice and a win win all round
Jo & Kaz, was last winter not like this? Wet and dull December and January and then come February it all just went horrid and cold and icy and frosty and and and... ? I think winters definitely are starting later than they used to.

Hopefully a non-eventful day at the office today. I'm aiming to leave at 3pm so I can go shopping; I have three friends coming round for lunch tomorrow. One is a vegetarian, the other doesn't eat peppers or anything like beans and earlier this week was advised to lay of dairy as they're testing for lactose intolerance. And the third thankfully isn't as fussy but still not overly keen on things like aubergine and courgette. So always a challenge to find something that suits everyone. So I'm going Italian and making various pasta dishes :D

Have a lovely day all and stay dry xx

Ria, we had snow - and a lot of it - from early December last year and it hung around for several weeks. It's a year next week since Joe had his surgery and it took us over 2 hours one night to get home from visiting him at Stafford hospital which is 9 miles away.

Morning all. Grey and damp here too. Enjoy your Christmas dinner Jo; we're going out for ours tonight as well.
Ria, I hope all the allergies / picky eaters appreciate your efforts! Safe travels Jen.
Going to do the weekend shop now.
Have a good day all.

Good morning all.
We're not doing much today. It's pouring with rain here.
We have children from a local school coming to sing to us this morning.
It's our annual Christmas treat, and I'm so looking forward to it.

Hope you will all have a happy day.
