Classic nosy neighbours

Postby JanB » 08 Dec 2018, 14:02

Our next door neighbours, the not so nice one's, have been building a car port, similar to the one Grumpy built. For the last 3 weeks

Every now and then, they'll peer over the fence, to have a look at our structure.

Grumpy said that it will blow over in the first strong wind, as he's not got anything holding it together, apart from a tin roof

I was wandering along the bank, between us, this afternoon and they appeared about 2 feet in front of me   And then scarpered :o :o

If they'd like to know how it should be done, Grumpy would help out, with advice. Or they could look on a building site on how to build a car-port properly.

One good thing, the wind we get in the winter will blow it away from us, rather towards our fence.

JanB,
Suggest if the neighbours want any help or advice with the car p[ort, you charge them at an hourly rate of at least fifty euros.

Hope the dogs keep barking at the noise it makes when the tin roof rattles

Saundra, that is exactly the opposite of what Jan and Grumps need. Image The dogs make enough of a racket without a rickety carport egging them on... and then there's the donkey. Image

WM I know Jan has enough noise with those dogs I actually meant that the dog owners would get fed up with the dogs

Another classic.

His brother is here, who is also having a look over the fence, to see how it's done properly :o

They packed up sorting out the carport/donkey house, whatever it's going to be at 10 past 5.

It's just getting twilight ish here then.

10 minutes later, he's got his ear defenders on, cutting up the dead tree that's been there for years - with a chainsaw   and it's now getting very dark

They gave it up when it got very dark, but put all of the very dead wood in a barrow - if they think that will burn, no chance, the chain saw was going through most of it like butter

Hours of entertainment that bloke  8-)

Yeah, the entertainment value from that lot must be worth something

I wouldn't mind the donkeys but the dogs barking would drive me mad!

Oh yes you would, Jo, you would definitely mind these donkeys.

They are not hee-haw types.... Think The Flying Scotsman and Mallard clearing their throats prior to a record London to Edinburgh run. These donkeys are something else. Image
