Shell, I know that you do not like confrontation, but it does not have to go that far. An explanation of the problems and a polite request that they be remedied could pay dividends. As others have pointed out the glasses are not fit for purpose and consumer law is on your side.

So I went over last week, they apologised for not ringing and the dispensing lady Fiona, said we will make them again with a different coating, still anti glare but clear, its called cristal Sapphire UV if that means anything and we will send the frames back and order new ones. So I thought I'd chance it and ask if I could have different frames and they said yes.

My new frames were £60 dearer, but they only charged me £45 and today I picked them up. They are lovely, they fit really well, I haven't driven in them at night, but the vision is good.

By today those old frames were so loose them would fall off if I bent my head. They are obviously faulty. My new ones are lovely and comfy and they have twisty bits on the side so you can have them plain or patterned :D

I'm pleased that you have now achieved satisfaction, but you should not have had all that was nothing but poor service.
No doubt you will going somewhere else next time you require new glasses.

With regard to glasses not being a fashion statement, I'm afraid that is now not the case. When I had some new ones a
few weeks ago, I was surprised to see that practically all the many frames on show were black or very dark brown.
It seems that lighter colours are now out-of-fashion. I think that those who keep introducing new fashions, just to
persuade people to unnecessarily buy their products, should br kicked out of the country. (but that's just me).

quite the opposite Aggers, they offered to replace them, without me asking once I said I wasn't happy. They didn't have to give me new frames, they could have insisted I stuck with my original choice and they certainly didn't have to sell them to me a reduced rate.

I have been more than happy with the service.

:D

Glad to hear it has all worked out, Shell - glasses need to fit, be comfortable and work for what you need.
