Postby JanB » 13 Dec 2018, 17:04

One of our winter favourites :D

Chicken breasts, sliced, cooked with bacon bits and white beans, with crushed garlic, rosemary, cooked in a chicken stock sauce.

Mash and cabbage to go with it.

Lush, gert lush :Hi: :Hi:

Finally felt like cooking , go back to tuesday , knew i had chicken kiev so bought some mushrooms in tesco to go with it , simply chop and put on the same tray as the chicken and WALLAH garlic mushrooms , weds night more mushrooms with frozen onions (ty Ria ) and garlic and chiili paste , serve with pasta , tonbight i knew i still had mushrooms (bloke on his own) so treated myself to a steak , cooked to perfection i might add , with chips and onion rings. Still got mushrooms , might have to be thrown as going to neighbour Brenda , for pulled pork supper.

Miss Di's cooking but miss Di more

Oh Bry, it's going to take an awful long time.

Bry...xxxxx

I was given a new Indian recipe the weekend before last and am planning on trying it out this Sunday.

First thing I thought when it was being discussed was how much Di would have taken pleasure in me telling her about it....

...and then waiting for me to cook it and give my opinion....

...and for her to then add it to her recipes...

...and for us to then compare notes. :D 8-)

(sad face but then a happy face of memories of our foody talk) xx

(((((Bry))))) Di is so very much missed here xxx

Thursday is my Pilates night so I eat at lunchtime - Becky, D and I had a cooked lunch in Sainsbury's cafe :) I had an omelette and green side salad :) I had some frozen salmon in the freezer so cooked that for Mick before I went out.

Bry, I often cook Jambalaya and always think of Di whenever I make it and think about it as "Di's Jambalaya".
She posted the recipe here and it's a firm favourite with the men in our house.
