Totally agree - I think a lot is to do with lack of patience (and I know I can be guilty of that) and everyone just being very selfish and not thinking about other road users. Jo, my drive to the station takes me over a set of traffic lights to cross quite a busy road. Then number of cars that go through last minute when it's red for them is quite astounding. And also those that want to make sure they can get across and then drive into the crossing even though they know they'll block the road for other people. It's all just this ME ME ME attitude at it's worst

It's really worrying Ria.

We saw a real idiot a few months ago. We were stopped at the front of a queue on a very busy A road coming back from Wolverhampton. At these lights there's a filter lane to turn right and those lights turned to red as ours turned to green for us to go straight on. Just as John started to move forward the driver who was third in the queue at the red light decided that he couldn't wait so overtook the cars ahead of him, obviously he was on our side of the road and had gone around the central crossing point too as he did so, and then turned right in front of us. All on red.

Jo, this has happened to me twice over the past few weeks! The first time was a double decker bus  coming through a crossing when the green man was on! That was bad enough but today's could have been nasty - the lights were red, the green man just coming on, a lorry stopped in the lane closest to me, but the lorry in the other lane just shot straight through! I could easily not have seen him as his lorry was much smaller, and almost totally obscured by the other  :( :(

Thank goodness you weren’t crossing Kaz

I just expect cars not to stop now.
