Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 18 Dec 2018, 05:30

Good morning.

Another fine day forecast. 8-)

#bonkers day 1 but as it's the giving out of reports and crafts for the younger ones it shouldn't be too manic.

Karen and I are walking up to Guzman's when we have a break...their Christmas displays are beautiful and no doubt I'll buy something gorgeous. 8-)

Stir fry from my resident chef when I get home tonight. :D

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all :)

Enjoy your sunshine, Ally and Jan  It's blowing a game here, and raining

Morning Cruiser :)

As mentioned the weather is appalling, but I'll be out in it as I promised to pick up a few bits for D, from town, and take them up there when we have our usual Tuesday lunch. My Christmas meal out yesterday was lots of fun - beautiful food, and great company :D :) Going to wrap the presents tonight!

Morning all

Well bossman isn't in the office today; he flies off for a few days holiday today so I have four days to catch up on bits and bobs and get things sorted before I start my Christmas break - yippeeeeee :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

Enjoy the day Ally and happy mooching at Guzmans's
Jan and Cruiser, hope you both get done what is planned
Happy present wrapping Kaz; I don't have many to do but do need to get a move on with a few things

Had sad news yesterday morning; my mom's twin sister (Gerda) passed away Sunday night / Monday early morning. She'd been really not well for quite some time; so it was expected, but still; quite sad. It always amazed me how two people can be so different - they were fraternal twins and mom has always had more 'oomph' for want of a better word but the difference in the two this year was quite something. As one of their cousins once commented; for their respective 80ths in May this year Mom travelled to the UK and we had THE most amazing time - laughter from start to finish; Gerda on the other hand declared she was old and there was not much point in life anymore and moved into a care home and then proceeded to languish away :o .

Just goes to prove - life is what you make it

Grey, windy and raining here.
Benidorm Dave has just arrived over the road to fit sister-in-law's new carpet.
In a while we are going to do a bit of Christmas shopping. Looking outside, I don't think we'll be lingering.
It sounds like a bad day in Brid, Saundra.
That is sad news Ria; it does sound like Gerda had given up on life.
Enjoy the bosses absence!
Have a good day all.

Good morning all.

The sky's a bit grey here, so I'm not planning on going out anywhere. Plenty of indoor jobs to be done in readiness for Xmas.

Hope you all have a nice day.

So sorry to see your news Ria xx

Good morning all, it's a nasty one here! There's a strong wind and a lot of rain.

Me and Billy just beat the rain for his walk, I was rushing a bit because I wanted to pop to town before it got too busy and I mentioned to Joe that I was going when we got home. He was just making himself a cuppa before college. He asked when I was going, I said as soon as I'd changed out of my old jeans and he offered to drop me off on the way to picking up his friend. That was a big help!

I managed to get them a few things for their stockings, I always buy them some scratch cards too so I've still got to get those. I got their Christmas socks though  And After Eights, we now have After Eights for after the Christmas dinner which I don't yet have :D

Now I'm waiting for a parcel, it's coming via Royal Mail so could be any time.

Have a good day all!

Morning all, it rained almost all night, I woke around 6.30am and the rain was so heavy on the bathroom skylight that I had to close the door to cut down on the noise. However it has stopped raining now, but is still dreary and damp. We are having Kellie for a couple of hours today as her childminder is going away. I might get around to wrapping some pressies later. Mr Osc made a light fruit cake yesterday, and is busy putting on almond paste now. Better tidy around before I go and collect Kellie.

Sorry to see your sad news, Ria. Such a shame that your aunt just gave up on life, and I'm sure your Mum will miss her.
