Another warm and pleasant day forecast.

Work as usual then off to Mama Lucia's for our staff Christmas meal. Yummy food and secret Santa. That's me off till January 8th.

Lovely morning, now the mist has cleared. If the clouds stay away, unlike yesterday, then it will be a lovely warm day

General pootling today, cleaning the inside of the wall lights outside and Grumpy is going to clean the windows. Might find some weeding to do - might?? just need to wander down to the veggie plot and see lots

The dumplings were okay, not as good as I used to make

Jan I haven't had stew and dumplings for years, but really fancy them now!

It's dry this morning, which is just as well as I'll be walking up to D's to go shopping with her, and will have her present bag with me. She's off to our in-laws for Christmas on Saturday so we won't see her again until afterwards. I'll be doing the main food shop today, it will be mayhem at the weekend!

See, the advantage of being single and generally being the one that visists family vs them coming to me is that I don't have to worry about shopping Christmas Eve we're out for dinner and Christmas day will be at Karl and Nadine's so they're doing the shopping. I just turn up with prosecco and gifts in hand - easy peasy

it's lovely dry day here and for a change quite wind still. Lovely and quiet in the office; not done much work this morning at all so better get a move on as I want to give things a good tidy and sort through before I head off tomorrow.

Heavy rain overnight, but quite sunny right now.

We've had a lovely lie in, so easy to get back into a lazy routine I've got a dentist appointment at 2.45, just a check up, but my stomach always plays up. If I'm in/out in quick time we'll probably pop over to Westwood Cross to do a quick shop in Boots and M&S.

My eldest is 50 tomorrow gosh time flys by so he his wife and 4friends are going on the ferry hull/Amsterdam tonight hope the weather is better there they get back Saturday morning we used to love going on the ferry such happy memories by for now

Hi everyone!

I wont breathe on you as I'm now on day 4 of a nasty bout of cold - thanks to Tom who has a chest infection. He's just finished a course of ABs so is feeling less poorly, and hasn't missed any work, but neither of us are good - I was probably daft going to work but it's so close to being finished for the year and I was able (just!) so I went. But today it has left me with no voice! Typical when I had my last aquafit class of 2018 - I could barely talk over coffee at the end of the class! We all wore sparkly Xmas earrings and some wore deelyboppers with various things on the ends - mine had two Xmas puddings! Got the last of the grocery shopping in and home by 2.15, since then I have been bobbing about changing the bed and throwing washing in, hoovering round and faffing on with fairy lights and cards. I have almost finished the gift shopping, but nothing is wrapped yet!! Need to do that asap, but it's getting round to it! I want to treat myself to having my nails done befpre the big day, so that'll have to be tomorrow and then I might not want to wrap - tonight it is then! I've felt so poorly by the time I've got in every night this week all I wanted to do was have a hot bath and get my PJs on for a night on the sofa
