Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 21 Dec 2018, 05:56

Good morning.

Another lovely day forecast. 8-)

I had a fabby night last night with my work colleagues - great food, great company and my secret Santa present was lovely. A selection of nail polishes in amazing colours including a couple of bottles of glittery ones too. Someone knows what I like. ;) :x

Off for a long walk then back to curl up on the sofa and watch this week's 3 Masterchefs including last night's final. Bliss. ;) ;)

Out tonight for our Friday beers and tapas. :D

Have a great day everyone.

Those polishes sound lovely Ally! :D

It's wet here, but I have to go to Cheltenham to the dentist's! Just a review for the tooth whitening, so no treatment involved ;) I finally wrapped the presents yesterday - phew  Did the food shop as well 8-)

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning both! That does sound a nice night Ally. Kaz, enjoy the dentist - no pain!

MrsC is shattered, she didn't sleep well last night and was busy dad and baby sitting yesterday. Plus, this morning we have to go shopping for her aunty and uncles. There are three of them but only one, Jimmy, leaves the house. He's sick now so he can't do the shopping. Thinking about it, he's even more sick because his dog bit him yesterday - again.

So it's to the supermarket then on to our daughter's house.

It's grey and wet here, hope it is better where you are! Have a nice day all.

Morning everyone

Lovely and sunny, warming up nicely. We have bonkers weather, so will be having a bbq on Sunday 8-) If I hadn't ordered a turkey, we'd have one on Christmas Day too.

I have a cold  :x :x No idea where this came from, as we've not been out too much this week. Just hope Grumpy doesn't get it

Bits and bobs today, nothing planned, will just see how it goes.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Dull and overcast here.

We had a lovely day yesterday. After the dentist we got on a bus into town as we needed stuff from Boots and it's not too far to walk. I was having a pretty good day hip and ankle wise so we then ambled down to the harbour, stopped for a sit down and coffee by which time it was getting dark. Meant we could take a very leisurely stroll to look at all the illuminated boats, a fantastic sight every year. Each boat owner decorates their boats, it's all voluntary and done in aid of the RLNI. Honestly I feel so lucky to live here.

This morning we woke up to no water, apparently there are 4 burst pipe incidents in our area  They have a team out working their way through each one, but so far no joy for us. Wouldn't be so bad in the summer, but of course we can't turn the heating on until it's fixed, thank goodness it's not too cold at the moment.

We're off to do the shopping shortly, M&S and then Tesco. The cunning plan is to make this our last shop before Christmas so fingers crossed.

Hope you all have a good day Image

Just got home and we have water, yeah :D

The shops were manic, people everywhere buying as though everything will close for a month. We didn't need a lot, mainly fresh fruit and veg, definitely won't be going anywhere near the shops until later next week. Aggers my motto is, if we haven't got it, we can go without

Is it a leftover from when shops did close for a few days?

I'm picking up the turkey and fresh veg on Christmas Eve and if last year is anything to go by I'll be in and out in about 10 minutes :D

Back to normal on 26th, as it's Wednesday, not Boxing Day.

Although the bar will probably be shut on Christmas Day - Jose hasn't made his mind up yet  But we had our freebie from him earlier :D
