Afternoon all, finally I get to sit down after a busy few days. Busy doing jobs and we've been having visitors and doing some visiting too.

Today's been an expensive one  John's decided that, after 20 years, he's not going to bother with a company car when the lease expires on his current one in April so we've spent the morning at a dealership having a test drive and ordering a new car. We're having this in white https://www.ford.co.uk/cars/focus/models-specs/st-line. It should be delivered to the dealers in February but they'll hold it, unregistered, until April.

Anyway, John, Tom and Shannon have driven to Wales this afternoon. John usually goes to see his mother after Christmas but he has to work this year and is struggling for time so they've gone today and will be back tomorrow evening. I hitched a lift down to town with them and finished off the food shopping, I only needed a few fresh nibbles and it wasn't as busy as I expected.

Joe's worked today, he's now past the halfway point in his run of six shifts. He's apparently bringing, as John put it earlier, this week's girlfriend around to say hello tonight  I think they're planning on being together until at least Tuesday though seeing as he's brought her a Christmas present  I asked him earlier what her name was. He said Bob but Tom thinks it may be Amber as he knows someone who works with Joe and that's a name he's heard mentioned.
