I'm home!

My sister will be wondering where all the washing up liquid has gone..... well, we made bubble mix with it. I taught the kids how to make huge bubbles by making an 'O' with thumb and forefinger and blowing very gently.

They all got slightly 'damp' but none of them cared! Image Image Image

You're probably the only VVer who can definitely say they've had a visit from Father Christmas this year, Osc!!

A laid back day - 10:00 Holy Communion at the Town Church - parking charges apply on Christmas Day according to the North Dorset DC website, so I didn't risk a jobsworth doing the rounds - he'd have made a mint today! - followed by a light lunch, the Queen at 3:00 (somewhat shortened this year, we thought) and we'll sit down for a chicken breast and trimmings dinner tonight around 6:00. Now't much of interest on telly; we'll probably finish up watching the Dads Army repeat!

We had a lovely late ish lunch, which I had planned for sitting outside, but as Mitchell and Grumpy have colds…..

He ate the lot, our Mitchell, which is good, as he normally has more drink than food. But he had to be good today as the police are out in force.

He'd just left when Jan and Joaquinha came up, with a lot of lovely Portuguese cakes, all home made. We got through 1 and a half litres of wine   and sat outside until just after 6.00.

Will have some cold turkey and stuffing butties later - I can never eat too much, when I've been slaving over a hot oven and steamer. Grumpy is working his way through the goodies that Jan brought

Is it too late to wish you all Merry Christmas? I hope not, but please accept my apologies for being so late.

We were awoken by our excited children at 6am, as Santa had been and filled their Santa sacks with toys. (Mostly books this year). Then had s plain boring usual breakfast this year as I’ve given up doing a special one as everyone is still too full for lunch.

Lunch was at my mums, where I told my brother it’s at his house next year for the first time. He said no, my Dad said yes, we will see. He arrives here at Raglan tomorrow so I will talk more with him and highlight my reasons to him.

Next was Christmas dinner here with Hubbys family, where a similar discussion took place with his brother.

All in all a lovely day, even though it rained for most of it and the kids couldn’t play outside.

Sounds like you all had lovely days. Merry Christmas
Everything happens for a reason
