Good Morning Sunday

Postby JoM » 06 Jan 2019, 07:00

Good morning all!

I’m going out with Billy in a minute, John’s off for a bike ride shortly and Joe has work. Tom’s at Shannon’s house and will be back tonight..

I’m making a beef stew for lunch and then we’ll go for a mooch around Stafford.

Have a good day all!

Morning Jo, morning everyone

Frosty start to the morning and the most gorgeous sun-rise 8-) 8-)

There's a stray dog around and next doors dogs are going bananas  Molly is inside, sensible cat, it's too cold to be out.

General pootling for us today and will be enjoying the sunshine later :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Beef stew sounds nice Jo 8-) :)

Hope the noise dies down soon Jan! xx

Cruiser we have a new big Iceland Food Warehouse near the Quays, and will be stocking up with a few bits later :)of

It's chilly here too, but not as cold as yesterday. Mick and I will be out for the papers later, and to pop to Iceland as I mentioned 8-) Lots of stuff saved on the player for later, including a new series of Cuckoo on BBC3! :Hi:

I heard from Ally yesterday, they were having such a great time over here that they stayed an extra few days :D

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

I would really like a beef stew today Jo. Jan, Molly is indeed a sensible cat! Morning Kaz and Cruiser. :D

Roast chicken later, very little else on the horizon. It's our son's gf's birthday on Tuesday, must remember to get a card.
We had the plumber round the other day to the boiler and I had visions of £££££££££££ but it was only a sensor, which he fiddled with. He refused to take any money for it too. Hopefully that will do the trick.

Have a good day all!

Morning all, fairly bright here and dry too. We had a lovely time last night, but weren't home until 1am, which is very late for us! It took me a while to get to sleep as my feet were cramping as they sometimes do when I've done a lot of dancing. The meal was good and we had fun with the others on our table who all go to our usual Friday social. Met lots of people we hadn't seen for a while too. I'm still in my dressing gown, almost unknown for me, but I'll have my shower soon and plan to do very little for the rest of the day.

Afternoon all :D

Dry but very cold here.

Managed to get the tree and all the decs packed away yesterday. Just got to bring in the wreath and hanging basket later, they'll need to hang in the garage for a few days to dry off.

No plans for us, will be cooking roast chicken for dinner later. Vanilla blancmange and lemon and lime jelly for pud.

Hope you all have a good day :D

It's been a lovely day here - really mild and sunny this morning. We went for a walk round the riverbanks in Durham, one of our favourite walks. I did over 12000 steps by the time we returned to the car - we stopped for coffee in the gorgeous cathedral café - you know I sometimes think when you live somewhere you take it for granted, when we do this walk, we go to places we don't usually see when 'just' going into town, and the architecture is so beautiful and old. I love my home city 8-) :D

Got home and I have let Charlie out to play for ten minutes while I pulled some dead plants out in the garden - I can see some new growth already coming through! I'm feeling less ill today, voice still rubbish but I don't think I'm coughing as much and the 'cold' part has gone :D

Not sure what to make for tea yet - it'll be something from the freezer now I think. We both had a ginormous scone at the cathedral this morning, filled us right up!

Welcome home Ally glad you had a good trip x

It is easy to take familiar beauty for granted Gal; when I first moved here I would gasp at the stunning Cotswold views when we drove a few miles out of the city, but I'm a bit blase now, and really shouldn't be....

I'm glad you're starting to feel better 8-) :)
