Morning all and happy Friday

Happy birthday Harry - gosh 19 already!

Well woke to a covering of snow and was hoping the trains would be cancelled, but alas, everything running perfectly on time so no excuse not to go to work - darn!!!! :D So here we are. The skies now are a rather very dull grey and it's drizzling which means the snow will be washed away. Just hope it washes away properly otherwise the freezing temperatures tonight are going to make life one big ice rink :D

What's not to like about Fridays? - Lebanese for office lunch today and chicken satay and pear tart for dinner tonight - yum (going to a friends for dinner).

Have a wonderful day all x

What's the Lebanese food like Ria? There's a Lebanese restaurant opened in Grand Central which I think looks lovely but I'm not sure that John would be keen.

Shame about the trains, isn't that typical though!?

I like it Jo - it's very similar in many ways to Turkish (and maybe Greek?) food really - falafel, chicken wraps, chicken skewers; lamb kofta etc... amazing dips usually. If nothing else I'm sure John would eat a chicken skewer with rice

We're having some dreadful weather, although the sun is out now. But blowing so hard, my pots have been blown over, the recycling is all over the garden, even my wind chimes were blown off the hook

And the rain :o :o

Gez arrived, just as it started hammering it down and had to have 3 mugs of tea before it stopped

Afternoon all, bright and sunny but a cold wind - nice in the sun, though, if you are well wrapped up. Edward had a game of golf, which is good because the course was closed a couple of days during the week. I went to the gym and then had Kellie for a couple of hours. I've washed my hair and do not plan on doing much for the rest of the day. We decided not to go dancing this evening as we are out tomorrow night and Sunday - getting old

Happy Birthday Harry!

Wow happy birthday Harry!!! Hope his last year of teenagehood will be just fab!! :D :D :D

So as mentioned in the Snow thread, our plans to meet up for coffee (five of us girls from work, never done this before) were scuppered thanks to the snow that fell last night and this morning  So, I have cleaned the tiles in the main bathroom (!!) along with other boring h/w duties and then I thought, no - enough of this staying indoors lark - coat and gloves on and off I went, walking :D :D Still have some ironing to do but not a lot. Having my annual boiler service done as I type, it needs a part (it's nearly 10 years old and has never needed anything)so he's going to come back next Friday to finish it.

I'm working a swap day tomorrow

Have a great evening all, Ria I like the sound of your evening meal!! 8-) :D
