It's quite sunny here but there's a light frost, it's supposed to be quite mild for February though today.

I've walked Billy and I've stripped the beds since coming home so the bedding's now in the machine. Joe's just gone to college and Tom has work later. Joe's girlfriend is staying tonight, he's picking her up tonight after her saxophone lesson.

It looks as though it might be a sunny day today - fingers crossed XX Becky got home last evening, went straight to bed, and was out first thing for an appointment with her personal trainer at the gym! She has a day off today and the plan was to come out with me today, but that will depend on how tired she is when she gets home

It looks like it will be a decent day with temps up to 12ºC.

Saved £36 on the house insurance yesterday. Found a price online then phoned the company I already use - they have a price promise. I phoned pretending to be a new customer and told them I had seen a price with X Ltd but had heard they were a better company and with their price promise etc... could they match it? Waited a while, yes they could.

"Which company are you currently with?"
"I am with you."

To cut a long story... I was put on hold while she checked, nice bit of folk rock, when she came back we went through the address and postcode lark and that was it: done. It looked like being a good day.

Then came the car tax. Online payment of £155 sorted.

Picked up the mail from the mat and there was one from Bradford Highways Dept. (?) When I was there the other week I got lost and ended up driving in a bus lane for about twenty metres before tuning off. Unfortunately I was caught on camera and they now want me to pay a £60 fine. This is where the fun starts...

Gentle pootling this morning then off to Ourique this afternoon. Get the news tyres fitted, if they arrived then bits and bobs, shopping in Pingo too. Will pop in to see Sergio, so we can sort out when he can take the car for it's mot. Has to be done before 26 of February.

Will pit-stop at the bar for a beer of two on the way back.

Morning all, it is cloudy and a bit damp here but forecast to be milder than of late. I am heading off into town shortly, on a mission to buy a pair of dressy shoes. Because I have a bunion on one foot, it is difficult to get nice shoes I have a couple of other bits on the list. Edward is going to play golf, I think, he is just waiting to hear back from his BIL. Hope Saundra is feeling a bit better today.

A rather nippy start to the day but the sun is trying very hard to break through the layer of grey cloud; not sure it'll manage though

Usual work day for me and then meeting a friend after work for a quick drink. She used to temp for us as a receptionist but when we downsized and moved things around we really couldn't justify keeping her on. Now with Hanna gone I need to find someone to cover for me when I go away so I reached out to Rachel to see if she was around. Sadly not but as a result we did get back in touch and are meeting up
