Gap do a good range of jeans from Skinny-Skinny to Curvy and at least now they convert the sizing to UK sizes as well. Faffing around with waist measurements for jeans is quite knackering :?

Oh why didn't I think of them? We have a Gap outlet here - Ally it's just a few hundred yards down from my fave Italian café Correttos :P :D I had a wonderful pair of Gap jeans ten years ago when I was very skinny - US size 6   I'll never fit that size again but I might just treat myself when I lose my next half a stone. An incentive :D

They look like Jeggings to me Kaz. Not proper jeans are they?

Jeggings. I really hate that word. Don't know why but it really irritates me

I'm not overly keen on clothes shopping anyway* but shopping for jeans is the worst, it's such an ordeal.

*Don't get me wrong, I like spending money on clothes but have a set idea of what I want and can never seem to find what I'm looking for.

I've had a Jeans Fest this afternoon trying on all my jeans. Straight legs and one pair of skinny, waisted, preferably with a slight dip in the front that can be worn with or without a belt, worn denim rather than a flat block of colour as then they can look like they are trying to be trousers. My favourites three pairs are M & S, Wizard and Levi.

That's enough jeans for me - until the next time I get the urge to find those Perfect Jeans

A couple of times ago I walked into jeans west, fussy baby in tow, and said, I need jeans. Blue, don't care as long as they look good, and I don't wear boots at the moment. Give me some to try. She was fantastic, she looked me over (bags under eyes, hair not done and not a scrap of makeup) and gave me a fantastic pair of dark blue, bum lifting, fab fit jeans. Seriously first pair. Then she handed me another pair, lighter blue, different cut, tummy trimmers they are called, and said, "because its 2 for $100 you will want these too." Again, perfect fit. This never happens to me. And while i was trying them on, she was playing with sasha to keep her from fussing. I've been so happy with them, each year for the last 2 I've gone back for exactly the same as the old pair are starting to look old.

This year I may actually summon the strength to go looking for jeans. I need so many new clothes, but Oliver's just become a nightmare to go shopping with, maybe next year when he starts kindy.

Ally I hope you find your perfect fit. Maybe you need to go somewhere that's not a high street store to get the different more generic cut?
