Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 12 Mar 2019, 06:48

Good morning.

Summer is here. 8-) 8-) I can say that with it hitting 30 degrees yesterday.

#bonkers day 1.

Somehow I need to find the time to go online and renew my passport. Like that'll happen today. Not.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Another lovely morning 8-) 8-) Although we won't get as high as 30C, it will be a very pleasant 24C again 8-)

Will take the pool cover off again, it's almost 20C in there. Still not warm enough to get in, but maybe in a couple of weeks :D

Ironing this morning and more gardening this afternoon. We have some lovely long grass, which I was just going to strim, but watching next doors donkeys, sticking their heads through the fence, to get at the grass on our side, I'll cut it and chuck it over. It's criminal that those poor animals are left in what is basically a barren field. It's the same with the goats and sheep  The stupid man hasn't ploughed his fields since we've been here and the animals - of which there are now many - are reduced to eating the estevas.

Might pop down the bar later, we have a stack of recycling to shift. Any excuse

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Ally I hope your temps will stretch as far as Lanzarote! :D

Oh those poor donkeys Jan :( xx

Got a few bits to do today - picking up a prescription, then staying round D's to oversee the men fitting her new leader Windows while she keeps a dental appointment. It's raining and very windy

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all

Well a blustery 10 degrees max here -   I'd love some of that warmer weather so please do send it over

Jan that is so heartbreaking about the animals - I assume Portuguese SPCA isn't really interested? I really hate people that take on animals without knowing enough about proper care etc.
Ally, hope you manage to find time to do the passport thing; in all honesty given Brexit etc I'd probably try find the time sooner rather than later
Kaz, enjoy your day with all your bits and bobs

Well a usual / usual for me. Although saying that, I may be going out for dinner tonight; haven't heard about final plans so will play it by ear

Have a lovely day all xx

Good morning all, it's horrendous out there! Suffice to say I've got a depressed dog who hasn't had his walk. He's barely wanting to go out into the garden though. When I let him out at 6.30 he stood on the doorstep for a couple of minutes, bracing himself, and then quickly ran out, did what he had to do and dashed back in again, into the utility room where his towel is kept

Ally, I love how easy it is to renew passports now. Unfortunately mine was renewed just after I started growing my hair so I'm stuck with a photo of me with messy growing out hair until 2026   I renewed Joe's last year and had taken him to Max Spielman for a photo and they gave us a code (as well as the prints) which I entered on his online application, the photo appeared and it was approved!

Blimey Kaz, not the best day to have windows fitted! :o

Jan, those poor animals :(

Have a good day all!

Good morning, changeable weather here - as they say, March many weathers. My Messenger has been hacked so don't click on anything unusual from me  I don't use it often, Fruity alerted me this morning. No plan today, usual household stuff and I might do the supermarket shop this afternoon. A short bout of babysitting this evening.

Absolutely foul down here - the wind was gusting so strongly this morning that two of the recycling bins put out by neighbours tipped over and we had to chase the contents!

Then we found rainwater was being blown back inside the central heating boiler through the wall vent and finishing up dripping down from the boiler onto the garage floor …..

Thankfully the wind has abated now, the rubbish bins collected, and I've turned the boiler off to let it "dry out" a bit.

And more nasty weather to come, so stay safe all!

Two rather jiggered people here ;)

We've weeded, strimmed, it was rather warm and we drank a lot of water.

The donkeys love me   I saw Brian walking in his garden and called over if it was okay to give the donkeys some grass I was cutting - by hand - my strimmer wouldn't touch it and Grumpy's still won't start

Just chuck it over he said, and walked away   Such an ignorant man :cute: :cute:

Going down the bar now, looking forward to a couple of beers :D

Enjoy the beer Jan. :)
Just starting to get windy here, we have had quite a bit of rain though.
We've been to our daughters for a couple of hours and are now watching the Cheltenham Festival. I've had a couple of bets. There's ten quid I'll never see again!
Cottage pie for tea!
Have a good day all.
