Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 15 Mar 2019, 06:36

Good morning.

Another gorgeous day. 8-) 8-)

A walk then I'm going to wait till around 1 o'clock and try out the pool. I don't normally start until April but the way the temps have been it should be ok.

Homework club then meeting Don and Jacob for our usual Friday beers and tapas. :D

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

3rd attempt :cute:

A lovely morning and another warm day forecast 8-)

Happy swimming Ally :D Ours is 19C and not a hope of me getting in just yet.

Busy day for me. Grumpy pulled a muscle in his back yesterday and he's never a good patient  And I have a lot of cooking to do.

The car is being repaired tomorrow. Gaby very kindly is coming up from the Algarve to do it, but can't here, as we only have gravel on the drive. Jan and Joaquinha have three  , sorry four, garages, so he's doing it there. And big mouth here, opened her big mouth  and said she would cook lunch for us all. All eight of us   So I'm doing favas, and I haven't got a pan big enough, so will have to do it in relay and also poached pears.

We're off to Ourique later, to get the bits and bobs I want. Money to pay Gaby too. He's doing the starter motor, front brake pads and replacing a couple of hoses, before it gets too hot and they burst

I will, no doubt, also have to do all the running around that needs doing on a daily basis, as Grumpy won't be able to do much :? Although I think it will do him good to move, rather than lie on the sofa all day

Think I might need a beer or three later

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all

Ally, enjoy that swim - hope the water is warm enough
Kaz, happy holiday; enjoy
Saundra, hope you manage to get out and potter. I'm hoping to get stuff done over the weekend but the weather isn't looking very promising sadly.
Jan, good luck with the car; hope it goes to plan. And why don't you look for a cheap big pot next time your in the chinese store - they're bound to have one! :D And enjoy those beers; you'll have deserved those! Hope Grumpy's pain eases soon

Well usual work day (well Friday lunch day) and then meeting up with friends for dinner after work - so a lovely day it will be

Have a good one everyone x

Kaz, that sounds really lovely! Whereabouts on the island are you staying?

Good morning all, it's dull and showery. It's forecast to be sunny later (but having said that it wasn't forecast to rain) so the washing machine's on. Bill's had his walk and now I'm waiting for an Amazon delivery. Joe's in college and then has work later, Tom's in work from mid afternoon and John's caught the bus into work today as there's someone retiring today so they're going to the pub after work. Me and Bill will walk down to the bus station to meet him tonight.

Have a good day all!

I looked at them Ria, the other week. They had some very nice inox one's, but rather expensive and some very thin cheapo one's. We were going to Castro Verde market to compare prices, but the weather was horrible that day.

To be honest, I'm in more need of a new large frying pan and a curry pot ;)

Pears now done, I forgot to take out the pork loin from the freezer  , so have that in cold water at the moment. By the time I've chopped and diced all the other things needed for the favas, it should be defrosted.

Oh the joy of getting older

Morning all :D

Very windy here

Been listening to the news from New Zealand this morning, one of the last places you would expect something like this to happen, all very sad.

We really don't need much, but will be popping to the small Tesco later.

Have a good day :D
