The Great British Bramley Apple Sauce - athon ...

Postby TheOstrich » 17 Mar 2019, 14:47

I like an apple sauce with Bite!

We've got a little bit fed up of the slightly insipid offering in the W'rose Essential range, and Colmans is wildly expensive and even more so since they've apparently reduced the jar size.

So I'm going to buy every supermarket in the areas' own brand apple sauce, and Mrs O is going to dig out her recipes and make a batch of "home grown" and we'll then have a massive "taste-in" to find a winner!

Do you have any favourite brands I can try - or are you all good and make your own?

It is so simple to make, do a batch and freeze it in portions. Much better than insipid shop offerings.

Two things I would never dream of buying in are apple sauce and mint sauce as they are so simple to make.... and they are always fresh. :D

Cheers, all! :D

Mrs O is probably going to make a batch and freeze portions, like Osc suggests.
