Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 02 Apr 2019, 05:43

Good morning.

Warm and sunny forecast. 8-)

#bonkers day 1.

Boss lady has broken her collar bone, fractured 4 ribs and is feeling rotten...I'm not surprised!

Dad is continuing to improve. Eating better and going out for longer and longer strolls. :D

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning from London! After two lovely sunny days, today looks rather dull, but we will be happy if it doesn’t rain. We are having a great but busy time. Our friends stayed Sunday night in the Travelodge on Drury Lane so when we had checked into our Premier Inn on Sunday, we walked to meet them and then we all walked to a restaurant on St Martin’s Lane that my brother had recommended, where we had a lovely leisurely meal before strolling back to our hotels. Yesterday, we met up with them for a little wander in Covent Garden, then we headed off to our tea dance, and I think our friends were going to the British Museum before getting the bus back to Herts. We enjoyed the dance, then it was back to the hotel for a quick rest, change and back to Covent Garden to eat prior to the ballet in the Royal Opera House, which we both thoroughly enjoyed. Back to the hotel, where we fell into bed!!

Going to have breakfast at our leisure this morning, and later we are heading to Blackheath for an afternoon dance. No plan for this evening, just something to eat is the current plan. Home tomorrow afternoon.

Morning Ally, Osc and everyone

Foggy this morning, it lifted a little, but has now come back. Supposed to be sunny later.

Glad your dad is improving quickly Ally xx

Sounds a lovely, but busy time Osc xx

Will be taking it fairly easy today, but washing in, bed stripped. Grumpy will be laying blocks.

We weighed ourselves this morning and I would like to lose about 5 kilos. He's got a lot more

The last of the chicken tonight - brilliant value, just over 5€ and that's 6 meals out of them.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning you two

Ally so pleased your dad is doing better; fantastic news. And apologies if I missed it, but how did Liz manage to do what she did; that sounds incredibly painful poor woman
Osc, you're in my neck of the woods - my office is just by Charing X :D Enjoy Blackheath today
Jan; hope the AB's are kicking in and you're feeling a bit better - dental abscesses are never fun (and I've had enough to last me a lifetime!) And good luck with the weight loss plan - you can do it! :D :D Poor Grumpy

Well, usual work day today and I think usual evening home. Was meant to pop round to my friend that moved down from Edinburgh over the weekend; but there were train issues this morning so I caught a train from a different station which means 15 mins drive the wrong direction to where she lives... and it's a slow train home so I think I'll reschedule to tomorrow.

Have a lovely day all xx

Morning all :)

Ally, the poor woman, that sounds so painful :( Such good news about your dad 8-) :) xxx

Osc, it sounds like you're having a great time :D xx

Jan I'd love to lose another 5 but I seem to be stuck pretty much where I am :cute: I'm just about a healthy BMI for my height so I might have to live with it  Good luck 8-)

Morning Ria :) I've had abcesses too, so will join you in sympathizing with Jan xxxx

It's raining here, but I'll be out shortly to walk (or maybe get the bus) into town. Then up to see D for lunch.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all grey and rainy here.
Good news about your dad Ally, but your poor boss. Broken ribs - that must hurt every time she breathes. You sound to be having a lovely time Osc. I hope Cruiser's wife is improving.
Not much on here, shopping in a little while and fitting a baby seat in the car.
Have a good day all.

Good morning all, it's pouring down here so I've got a depressed dog!

I'm glad I got the washing done and the garden tidied yesterday! The lawns were cut, the borders were dug over and I planted a tray of pansies which my Mom gave me on Saturday. I think we'll pop down to Penkridge market at the weekend for some primulas. There's usually a good choice of plant stalls there.

John was going to cycle into work today (he only does that once the clocks have gone forward) but the rain put him off. Joe's gone to college and he's off to the gym straight afterwards.

Tom's still in bed as he worked until 2.30am. He has an interview at a school near Burton On Trent on Thursday, he applied to a few at the weekend and this one replied to him yesterday. I'm not quite sure how this PGCE thing works, I assumed he'd apply to whichever university he chose and then he'd be given a training placement but it seems that he has to apply to specific schools and then gets put forward for the course should he get the training position. Anyway, he has to plan a 15 minute lesson and do a presentation for his interview so I think he'll be holed up in his room a fair bit this week!

Blimey Al! How did she do that?? Poor lady :(

I'd get the bus if it's anything like here, Kaz!

Have a good day all!

Aww Saundra, I hope you're feeling better soon. I love blue hydrangeas, I had one in the front garden at our old house.
