Happy Easter Sunday!

Postby Osc » 21 Apr 2019, 07:14

Good morning all, it’s not often I start the morning thread, if ever! We are having a lovely time with great weather, I am sitting in bed looking out at a beautiful view and listening to birds singing - just waiting for Kellie to wake in the next room and realise that the Easter Bunny has put little Easter Eggs all the way down the stairs.

Yesterday the boys played golf and us girls pottered around Enniskillen. Today the children will be swimming this morning and then there is an Easter Egg hunt put on by the hotel at 11am. We are having Easter Sunday lunch at 2.30pm and at some stage, Edward and I hope to go for a walk with Miss Osc around the picturesque lake. Holidaying with the grandchildren is tiring so we are in bed at a reasonable time at night!

Happy Easter Osc, that all sounds idyllic 8-) :) xx

Happy Easter everyone :) I'm cooking a big family roast - lamb with all the trimmings - and D and Chris are coming :) I asked H but he's busy, so I sent him an Easter egg, via Amazon. Funny story: I thought I'd ordered one large M&M egg, but Harry rang when the package arrived yesterday, and there was four large eggs in it, so he'll be having a very chocolatey Easter

Have a good Easter, everyone :) xxx

I bet it is, lol! But it sounds like you are having a wonderful time Osc.
Kaz, your day sounds lovely too.
An early start for MrsC, she was up baking a cake at 6.30am!
The family are coming round here mob handed for Sunday dinner, so that will be nice.
It's a beautiful morning here, sunny and warm.
Jen, is your hip improving at all? And Cruiser I hope MrsE continues to get better.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning.

It seemed a great idea last week to arrange an Easter Sunday mountain bike ride....my butt hurts! I really enjoyed it though and glad I did it.

Picking my folks up in an hour and bringing them over for the day. The twins will be here too and Jacob is cooking for us. :D :D

Don and I will go out tonight for a couple of drinks and enjoy the relative quietness after what can only be described as the noisiest, craziest Semana Santa that we can recall since we moved here. Those Spanish sure know how to party!

Have a great day everyone.

Morning everyone

Boa Pascoa or Happy Easter :Hi: :Hi:

Sounds as if you're all having lovely days :D :D

Lovely morning here, although still windy

We are going weeding this morning, then will have a few drinks this afternoon, just by ourselves 8-) Mitchell was supposed to come up, but double booked himself - not unusual   - so we have two rather large chickens to get through - although not all today ;)

Jan invited us down to them for lunch, she has 16 for lunch  made 4 desserts  and told me just to bring our chickens down. But we decided not to, although no doubt we'll get a phone call later, telling us to get our bottoms there

Have a lovely day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Happy Easter you lovely lot :D

Another hot day is forecast here so I'm dosed up on antihistamines and nasal sprays to no avail. I was trying to think when I was last this badly affected by hayfever and I reckon it was before Tom was born! The heat just makes me feel worse.

I was going to do a full roast but decided against it yesterday and bought a load of salad, I'll still roast the chicken to have with it. We might go to White Ladies Priory this afternoon as it's only a few miles away and dogs are allowed so it makes for a nice walk https://www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/white-ladies-priory/ We'll see who else wants to come.

Have a lovely day all!

Good morning all.

What a lovely morning it is, too.
We have just had a hour in the garden, doing a bit of tidying-up.
Now it looks more cared-for, but I'm in need of a good rest !

Hope you all have a happy day.

Good morning, and another bright sunny day here in Dorset, although it does seem a shade cooler than yesterday.

Off this afternoon to a gathering of Mrs. O's S and extended family, and I must watch on the return journey I don't get tangled up in West Country holiday traffic ……

Enjoy your day! 8-)
