Mrs.e update

Postby cruiser2 » 25 Apr 2019, 17:57

As Janb and JoM have asked here is the latest news.

While the weather has been good she has been for a short walk in the crescent where we live. No pain in the hip but she now has pain in her knee. This is just arthritis due to old age. She sometimes uses the zimmer frames even inside the house, but is walking unaided most of the time.
Going to see the Physiotherapist again next week who will say wether she needs any more exercises. She does several in the morning and evening.
Will have to be fit as we are going on another cruise on 1st June.

Not fit enough yet to chase me round the bedroom!!

Getting good at housework, including ironing.

Lovely news and the knee is probably deferred pain from the hip because she isn't walking properly

Fab news cruiser; that really is - and agree with Shell; the knee could well be deferred pain due to the hip. My mom had that as well. Make sure the physio is aware a she/he may recommend additional or different exercises. And also; maybe look at some pilates sessions as they will help strengthen the core muscles which will help everything

Thank you all for your replies.

WM, she can't trip me up with her walking stick as it only has a small handle on it not a hook type.

Will be taking her shopping on Sunday as we can park in disabled bays now.
