Had a letter this morning from the last firm I worked for who pay my pension.
Evidently HMRC--the Income Tax Office have made a right round object of our tax codes. There are 22,000 pensioners and it is not known how many are affected by this error. HMRC have calculated that the monthly payment is twice which is being credited to each penioner.
So it has been agreed with HMRC that the company can use the 2018/2019 code until HMRC get their calculations correct for this new tax year.
I wonder how many other pension schemes have the same problem
