Good morning Tuesday

Postby cruiser2 » 14 May 2019, 07:06

Good morning everybody.

Bright and sunny.
Going to the bank to pay in three cheques. More winnings from our Premium Bonds. Then some shopping. More gardening this afternoon.

Have a good day everybody.

Well done with the Premium bonds Cruiser. It's a very nice mornisng here too, lovely and sunny.
In a short while MrsC is taking her dad to his relatives and then I'm off to Aldi. Then to our daughters in the afternoon.
I stood outside last night and you could smell the hawthorn blossom, it was really nice.
Better than Nicola, our next door neighbour (Steve's wife). She was painting their garden fence yeterday afternoon, fell and broke her ankle!
We'll get her a card later on.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning Cruiser, Crommers and everyone

Another hot day ahead, although really pleasantly cool at the moment.

Had a dreadful nights sleep, been awake since 2.00  next doors dog barking then I couldn't get back to sleep  At 2.15, we'd decamped back into ou normal room, as it wasn't so noisy in there. Think words are going to have to be said.

I have a stack of ironing, which I'll get out of the way early and then will be doing not a lot. It will be about 34C again today.

Have a good day everyone ,whatever you're doing xx

Morning all

Cruiser; you're lucky - I eventually sold my bonds as I didn't have a single winning in I don't know how many years! Admittedly I didn't have a huge amount to start with but still...
Crommrs; oh ouch poor Nicola - that sounds horrid. Hopefully someone was home when it happened and she got help asap. Hope your day with shopping / family goes well
Jan; definitely words need to be said - is there any place you can raise an official complaint to? Dogs barking that long that it wakes you up and keeps you awake at that time of the morning isn't right at all. You've put up with it for long enough - time for it to be sorted once and for all. Hope you get the ironing done asap and then enjoy a relax day - hope the temperatures remain where they are until we get there :D

Another usual / usual for me with a quick visit to Ollie the stray cat for socialising before I head home. Been trying to pop round to the house where he is being cared for two / three times a week to help socialise him; poor boy is so terrified. But he's getting there slowly but surely.

Have a lovely day all x

Crommers, what was she standing on? Hope she heals quickly.

You're right Ria, we've been tolerant enough. We can go to the police, we have logged the times and duration of the noise, but I will have a chat with Lesley over the fence this week.

Afternoon all :D

Bright and sunny again 8-)

Definitely time to have words Jan, all that barking would drive me mad!!

Got some washing on the go and plan to whiz round the house, always nicer to come back to it looking reasonably tidy. Final packing later and the important bit, weighing the cases to make sure they come within the limit. Being picked up at 11.30 tomorrow morning, our flight isn't until late afternoon, but I like to be there in plenty of time.

Have a good day :D

Afternoon all, we are in Zeebrugge today, so 4G wooohooo! It is beautifully sunny but there is a cold breeze. This morning, we went to Blankenberg, a seaside place about nine miles away. It was nice, a long promenade and beach, and the beach divided into areas where you could pay, get fancy looking sunbeds, food and drink. Back on the ship now, we have had lunch and are out on our balcony with our books as it is relatively sheltered compared to the decks. There will be an afternoon nap before we prepare for the evening’s jollities. For the first time ever, we went to hear the guest speaker yesterday, it is John MCarthy, who was held prisoner in Lebanon for five years. He was so interesting, part two is tomorrow and we’re looking forward to it. Imagine, it is 33 years since he was kidnapped!

Jen, have a great holiday!

Afternoon everyone :) I'm a bit late today, as when I went to collect my "lost" phone from Debenhams lost property it had fun down the battery, and I've been out all day!

I went into town early to get my hair cut, but Shireen wasn't in, so I wandered up to see D instead. We've been to B&Q looking for cucumber plants - sold out  - and Mothercare, looking for bits and pieces for little Poppy, my greatniece, who will be a year old in a few weeks 8-)

It's my Chris's 41st birthday! Will be ringing him later :)

It's very warm here today - lovely 8-)
